My opinion is not to malign the good name of HARI in fact I admire them for coming out with some reputable vehicles like the Santa Fe, Veracruz & etc.

The AM and FM radio frequencies and the spaces in between stations used in our country are generally standard (frequencies), so there is not much difference vs. the rest of the world. Personally, I do not see an advantage of that eye-sore of a 'birdie' on the roof of the Grand Starex as other forms of antenna can do the job as well if not better.

We own a Gen3 Starex, which has the glass-mounted antenna and it's not giving us any issue in as far as radio-reception is concerned.

I think theres a big difference in buying hari and grey market gs. i was informed by my friend inside hari dealership na they wont entertain gray market units using their diagnostic computer scan. this is to warn potential buyers of gs not to buy gray market. In case na mag karon ng problem sa grey market units especially electronic problems, mahihirapan i diagnose ng not-casa repair shops. kung minsan baka hindi magawa dahil may mga serials and codes pa daw ang hari sold units na nakaregister sa computer scanner nila. Thats the time i decided to buy gs to hari dealer. Ayoko mag sisi sa huli.

    God bless to all tsikoteers!!!

Yes, the encircled row is the BENCH type found in the 4th row of Pistop and 3rd row of HARI.

    Pitstop
    1st row: Driver-Captain. Passenger-Captain. (Total= 2 pax)
2nd row: 2 Swiveling Captain Seats with Center jump seat (Total = 3 pax)
3rd row: 2 Captain Seats with Center jump seat (Total = 3 pax)
4th row: bench type, not reclinable, tips up and slides forward for more cargo space (Total= 4 pax)
    Grand total = 12 passengers

    HARI
    1st row: Driver Captain. Passenger-Bench seating 2. (Total = 3 pax)
2nd row: 2 Swiveling Captain Seats with Center jump seat (Total = 3 pax)
3rd row: bench type, not reclinable, tips up and slides forward for more cargo space (Total= 4 pax)
    Grand total = 10 passengers

Note that since HARI only has 3 rows, the 3rd row bench is able to slide much farther back and forward vs. the 3rd or the 4th row of Pitstop; giving you more leg or cargo room as needed. But of course, kung school bus ang dating ng GS mo, you'll certainly appreciate the additional row sacrificing cargo space of the Pitstop model. In practice however, buyers of Pitstop and StandOut end up removing either the 4th row bench or the 3rd row Captain (sayang naman) because the current config just leaves too little a room for cargo, even for groceries baka nga hindi na kumasya if you don't remove a row, so in actuality, 9 passengers ang Pitstop, 10 ang HARI.HTH

Let me put it this way, My dad has an E-class Benz which was bought thru the gray market. Its been 8 years and we have done things to the car that supposedly needed computer diagnosis from the casa but got it elsewhere. I don't think the computers of Hyundai's is as sophisticated as the ones used in a Mercedes. So its final for me, Pitstop it is.

I just went to my dealership early this morning. The diagnostic tool they are using is GDS which means global diagnostic system. I was amazed coz its wireless comunication using laptop to the vehicle. astig. they explain to me the importance of after service using their GDS. may nagdala daw sa kanila ng gray market unit na may problem sa immobililizer which needed a serial code. The casa did not entertain the gray so thats why theres no immobilizer equipped sa gray. di mo magagamit ang gs pag may trouble sa immobilizer coz it wont start for anti-theft purposes. ngayon hari is releasing gs with immobilizer which is definitely a + value.

Yes I concur that Pitstop is claiming they have the scanner already at a cost of Php400,000.00. Check ko nga kung meron talaga sa first 1000km check up ko.

Yesterday I accompanied a friend who test-drove an A/T Grand Starex at Hyundai Dagupan.

She tried the unit out at the newly-finished Dawel Pantal Diversion Highway. I felt we were cruising along at 80 kph, when I leaned over and saw the speedometer reading --120 kph! The van is so stable that it didn't feel like we were going that fast. And the peppiness of the automatic tranny was impressive.

Apologize for the multiple post. I just posted and left my PC and when I came back ang dami nang posted. Can I request for moderator to delete it please, nakakainis sa mata.

Unit: Gold Variant, haven't made up my mind on the color, I like black but my other car is black already, pero siguro black na lang Lui, 2nd choice Ecru.

Re: Lui of HARI Abad Santos. Let me tell you this, I have a friend who is the Sales Manager of another HARI branch and I'm buying from Lui, that should give you an indication of the abilities of Lui d' Great. Okay si Lui, has good product knowledge and is an excellent sales person, not too aggressive, not too timid, just right.
