I don't mind paying a little extra para deretso sa HARI (though palagay ko dapat parehas o mas mababa pa sa kanila kasi volume eh) -- baka mamaya hindi pa weatherized yung sa gray market at madaming problema sa warranty claim eh.Pero ayaw ko nung 9/10 seater. Just saw one in Medical City last week. Sobrang laki talaga for me. Sana talaga maglabas nung SWB version.

i think because the first generation starex was never available in RHD form... hopefully they will have the grand starex in RHD also...

so meron SWB version. that's interesting. siguro after 1 year pa yan ilalabas kasi uubusin muna nila yun LWB orders.

it's good to know that the good old engine of our starex is back in the new starex models, may itatanong lang po ako, yung TCI ba ay yung old turbo diesel just like before the CRDI? same displacement and power din po ba yun? at tsaka totoo bang may mga parts yung CRDI na kapag nasira ay hindi pwedeng ipa- repair or i-calibrate at kelangan ng palitan kaya naman parang inuubos na lang ang mga CRDI ngayon?

yes sir eto pa din po. pero ung tci engine po sa grand starex is euroIII standard na... regarding crdi d ko po masasagot ito. pero wala pa naman po bumabalik samen na nagreklamo regarding sa fuel delivery ng unit nila

This also puzzles me. An A/T version typically is about P50K-P70K more than its M/T variant... Sa Starex lang talaga malaki ang diperensiya.

sir hindi lang po ako sure pero may iba pa po diff ung A/T at M/T version ng TCi. ung variant po kasi ng M/T is GL while GLS po ung sa A/T. post ko po agad mga spec nito kapag binigay na ng HARI

Anyone waiting for delivery of the all-new Starex? You might be waiting less because I just saw a 'caravan' of Starexes in Batangas, en route to Manila. I counted about 25 units being driven and about 5 units being hauled. 90% were white.

went to hyundai commonwealth a while ago with my mom. our x-trail's SA will our SA for the grand starex also. he said he will research on the specs between the 10 and 12 seater CRDi VGT GLS and the 10 seater CRDi VGT Gold. he will call up their big boss at hyundai commonwealth, the HARI main office in Makati and the HARI Laguna plant and will fax us the specs of the above mentioned variants. my mom was makulit talaga coz she's wondering why the Gold 10 seater is more expensive by P130K than the 12 seater GLS.. i will post the specs once we recieve the fax later this night or tomorrow

I think Sir kya malayo po dun sa expected nyo na price ung A/T model is because of TGS na po sya pwedeng manual or auto ung transmission nya katulad po nung INVECS ng Mitsu, may computer box na rin po kc ung ganun na transmission and kung hndi po ako nagkakamali adaptive transmission pa po yun which means nag-aadap ung transmission nya dipende sa Driving behavior. Mahal po talaga ung ganun system kc nag-work po ako dun sa gumagawa nung ganun system isa po ang hyundai sa mga sinusupplyan namin ung iba Bently at Audi German Company po yun kya mahal talaga.

You should pick a copy of Top Gear Phils Magazine September issue, they have a better column there about the Grand Starex. They give honest to goodness review eventhough they honestly tell that they didn't have a chance to bring the Grand Starex to run on highway. But they enjoyed and praised the ride.
