A Mazda 3 can stay with a 1.5 RS? Had one ahead of me at the Skyway and we both pulled hard from the Nichols construction area. He wasn't getting away but I wasn't gaining either - all the way to almost 200 whereupon I had to exit. Naka Orangevirus kaya?

Very possible especially if it's a 2.0, even if stock.

I've encountered an RS that tried to chase me down NLEX before, I thought I'd be easy prey but for some reason he couldn't keep up and got left behind when I was doing 200+ already.

Huli is southbound near Sta. Rita. Northbound, the speedtrap is near SCTEX Luisita.

None. Especially now that NLEX connects to SCTEX without a tollgate, they cant easily apprehend you anymore.

It helped that I was lifting momentarily when overtaking cars while he seemed to have it floored all the way. He seemed comfy weaving through lanes while I have yet to gain that same confidence with the RS’ steering at those speeds.

Baka may daga na sa dibdib. Some people have certain limits on their own and they wouldn't push themselves past those limits.

Also, maybe you have a few seconds advantage. Even if he has the power but if he couldn't close the gap, you'd still be ahead. If you're both doing the same top speed, he will not be able to pass you.

The San Fernando-Dau stretch (northbound) does not have much traffic so you can floor it once in a while.

Lahat naman may variable risk limit. It could be the RS driver had a kid with him. And these days there are more cars on the road. Just a year or two ago, I can floor it for long stretches on the Skyway on Sundays. Not anymore - just too many cars and drivers with unpredictable driving habits.

Surprisingly, there are times in SLEX and Skyway that they open for some spirited runs. I haven't been taking the Skyway lately since I moved to a new job in BGC. I can deal with the speeders but it's the slow-moving drivers on the left (fast) lane that you have to watch out for.

Getting my unit delivered later today a little more than a month after my bank of choice issued PO. I stopped following up and even expected a Dec delivery but alas! delivery from the plant came last Sat. Only got my insurance inhouse which is around 5K less if you get outside..my SA even offered me accessories to get a better chance but I declined; good thing the unit was still awarded to me. We were three in queue for a WOP 1.8E. I didn’t ask in detail though why I was chosen. Christmas came early for me [emoji4]
