It's a money-making scheme obviously, but if you really want to keep your warranty, that's the only way to go. Personally, I had my horns installed outside. There's practically nothing that will be affected by my horn installation so I'm not paranoid about it.

How about moving the stock horns to a different location will that void the warranty? Eg. At the center of the grille.

    agree with jut.

    medyo pilosopo, but...
if nothing goes wrong in the horn replacement, then owner would not need to call on the warranty.
if something does go wrong, well... we all know whose fault that probably was. it can be fixed, but it wouldn't be logical to expect the casa to fix it, for free.

many years ago, there was this story about a honda model (an idsi, i think), whose owner upgraded his horn. unfortunately, it caused the fuse to blow. and, for some reason that beguiles logic, the manufacturer had tapped into the very same circuit, the car's AT needs. when the fuse blew, the AT refused to function. or so, the story went.

I think I saw in FB some socket connectors to directly connect aftermarket horns into the car without splicing.

I saw this in my feed:

Kingz Accezz - HORNS SOCKET CONNECTOR
    - Connect OEM... | Facebook

I've dealt with the merchant several times. Delivery time is a bit long, but I eventually get what I order.

Maybe derived yon from our average fuel consumption so depende sa driving style natin.

It's always dependent on your last fill-up. After a long highway drive I will always get a 500-600 km range reading, compared to when I only drive in the city I just get a range of 350-400 km.

And more than driving style, it's the driving condition that matters more - an efficient driver stuck in BGC rush hour traffic will not get better mileage than an ordinary driver going at a constant 100 kph on the highway.

Correct! I don't really pay much attention to the range as it just gives you an estimate based on your current or latest FC mileage. So if you just drove on the highway, the range will be much larger... then try being stuck in rush hour traffic and that range will drop proportionally with your FC mileage.

Sir, do you ever use the Econ mode? I can feel the difference in throttle and power but does it really affect fuel efficiency that much?

Yup, most of the time whenever I'm not in a hurry, I keep econ mode on. There's no difference in power, only in throttle response. I prefer the late response as it allows for smoother driving so that you don't have to be too light on the throttle. I turn it off whenever I prefer to drive quickly.

Difference in efficiency? Not much, at least not as much as other factors like traffic or driving hard.

Been scouting for units as well.

Was able to talk to an agent in baliwag bulacan. Said that they had 2 units ready - 1 cosmic blue and 1 modern steel ata. However, agent refused to sell either to us. Said that these were reserved specifically for clients who are to avail of in-house financing.

There's also a lunar silver unit in honda fairview as of yesterday.

Too bad, medyo kuripot sa discount. They weren't able to match the offer of the dealer i am queued at. Hopefully, a unit for me arrives sooner than later.

Replaced whatever you want, damn the warranty. A simple horn replacement will not damage anything. If in case it does tell them to give you concrete proof na yun horn and cost ng sira ng electrical, which impossible mangyari.

The horn is usually the first thing I replace in my car, followed by interior lighting.

I just bought something from this merchant. I received the item in the mail two days after I deposited payment. Very satisfied with the service.

What about the relay? Aftermarket horns don't really last long if they lack relays. Not to mention the awful sound.

Just want to ask you, guys. I saw in my FB feed that Android Auto now has Waze capability. Does anyone have the link to this update?

I just updated my Waze from the Play Store and can confirm that it works with Android Auto on my car.

20.8 km/L on the highway today!

Cruise control at 80 kph (1400 rpm) from SCTEX to TPLEX Urdaneta.

Wasn't able to verify with a full tank because I was still running on the full tank I used from my track day. Will try again in a few weeks for a pure highway run.

Nice one Jut703! You just inspired me to do a hypermile run when I go up to Baguio during the long weekend.
