Looks nice, nagmukhang Accord. Went for the classy look and ditched the sporty look. Dunno how to feel about that since I still love the sharp aesthetics of the current Civic.

That explains the subdued aesthetic. The interior is nice though, I like the steering wheel. Looks very upscale.
The push button is a cute gimmick too. But main reason I like it is because it makes paddles a necessity. [emoji23]
I wonder which of those will make it to the Civic MMC and which will have to wait for the next gen.

The rear end looks better than the accord's IMO... the push button gear selector is a from their luxury brand Acura.. even the full led headlights that they are now incorporating to the rest of the Honda line up.
I don't really know what they wiil do/add for the MMC refresh of the Civic... the aesthetics and exterior seem to have all the latest Honda design already... maybe add LED foglamps or add Honda Sensing as Standard? For the interior, maybe use the latest iteration of the infotainment system like what the CRV has.
P.S. And Can we just adore the Modern Steel color on this one.
Tail lights upgrade for the civic Ek, Eagle's eye headlight upgrade for the dimension civic, octagon taillights for FD, grill and rear garnish upgrade for FB, nakaka excite kung ano gagawin sa FC civic!

EK and ES Civic MMCs were very significant, almost like a totally new car.
FD was a pretty significant update also because of the meaner bumper. FB mas pumangit pa, looks ricey IMO. I had the Japan CBU first launch of the FB, not as striking as the FD but it grows on you, and the interior is nicer.
And I realized that having Bluetooth, reverse camera, and cruise control on a car from 2012 was a big tech leap. I recently drove a 2011 C-class and was surprised it had none of those.

People tend to make me drive their cars for road trips. Like the C-class I mentioned, it was my officemate's and she wanted me to drive it when we had a trip to Pampanga. I enjoy driving different cars, and people tend to not like driving.
It actually got me thinking of getting one, but the Civic has spoiled me and I can't help but find the W204 to be too low tech - no Bluetooth, no remote start, no Android Auto, etc.

Well, you are more familiar with the roads since you travel a lot ... regarding the BMW X1 E84 1.8d ... is the ride comfort really that bad? ... How about the interior quality? ...
Seatmate did a backjob on my center console leather upholstery and they did a much better job this time!
From this (stock cloth upholstery):
To this (first try at leather):
And finally to this (re-wrapped):

You can have genuine or synthetic leather. OEM leather sidings are just synthetic.
I showed them immediately after the first job was done that the stitches were crooked (they really were). They said that they'd replace it on the spot. I rescheduled since I had an event in the afternoon of that day. I came back yesterday and they reupholstered the console free of charge, all done in less than 2 hrs.

The rubber refills for my OEM wiper which I ordered 6 months ago (!) finally arrived. Back to the beam type blades for now (just because I like the stock look), while my hybrid blades will just be my spares.

So it's back to considering a Honda CR-V again (4th gen) ... what other alternatives to the Honda CR-V for riding comfort? ... The Honda HR-V would've been just right but really can't appreciate it's looks ...
Can't think of a more comfortable car under 2M, not even the midsizers.
Thicker tires of the CRV means better pothole absorption than the Accord/Camry. More space also. Tech level of the CRV also at par with the midsizers.
The Explorer is your next bet but it's very big, thirsty, and expensive.
Edit: This refers to the current CRV. The old one was very "meh" for me. Doesn't feel as premium and also not as spacious (even if it was pretty big for 2012 standards).

The 4th gen CR-V is a really comfortable car. Just a bit short on legroom if taller people sit at both the front and 2nd row. When we had one it was easily my favorite everyday car.
Not considering the current diesel CR-V? As good a car as the 4th gen is, the current gen is still a big upgrade in terms of space and equipment.
The 5th gen Honda CR-V does indeed tick all the boxes ... Decent ground clearance, comfortable ride, diesel engine, reliable brand ... But prefer buying used ... Better value because of depreciation ... And of course it's better to buy on the 2nd or 3rd year of production ... Best if one can wait for the mid-cycle facelift ...
So just to clarify, the 4th gen Honda CR-V is close to the riding comfort of the 5th gen CR-V? ... It's the interior fit and finish that's important, exterior looks is not a priority ...

Hard to compare as I never had the two at the same time, but from memory the ride quality is very close. The 5th gen seems to handle better.
The design of the interior of the 5th gen is nicer no doubt. Also seems to have a quieter cabin. But apart from the cold air from the a/c vents hitting my hands while driving, no complaints for the 4th gen here.
Just to be clear we had the facelifted one. Not sure if that had any updates vs the original 4th gen
