Lame question, what do you do to prevent your civic fc from going autolock everytime you have your car washed by the car wash shop? I wouldn't want to disable the autolock feature everytime I go to the car wash. Is there a workaround?

does anyone here experience some kind of engine jerking between 20kph to 35kph especially when you suddenly deaccelerate between those speeds? di naman always nararamdaman pero bothersome minsan. sure ako it’s not because of the rough roads here in manila. kumakalog pa minsan buong body.

Re: Engine jerking
I haven't experienced this yet, but, on the other side of the globe they are experiencing the same issue. Let me get some quotes for you guys:
"Hi Guys,
Im getting sick of this, in traffic, 10-20 MPH, when just touching gas pedal, it jerks front and back which is super annoying, feels like not correct torque is delivered from engine or cvt messing up. its 2.0."
"I think this is pretty normal in my experience. I have the 1.5. try coasting more or accelerating for longer if possible. Tapping the gas pedal is always jerky for me at low speeds."
"Hello,
I'm experiencing the same problem with my Civic 1.6 CVT at low speed. I was thinking about poor fuel quality , but the car is still jerking. The car was checked at the dealer, but nothing abnormal was detected by the scanner. I drove a "drive test" car and found it as jerky, but less so. I have asked for a compression test at the next servicing. Hope everything will be fine."
"I think that is fairly normal, but normally mine is not that noticeable. Just a soft thud of a shift. Now that's when it's normal. From what I know so far the dealership disconnected my battery during the coolant joint recall and my OBDII was reset, for fair warning for those with CVT's it MESSES THEM UP BAD. Shifting was terrible, not highjacking your thread just telling all those with CVT's to make sure they don't (or the dealer doesn't) disconnect the battery without a tender or you are in for serious shifting, bogging, and stuttering issues until it relearns."

thanks for this link. during slow acceleration nag-jejerk yung car engine ko but not always. pero if fast acceleration, very seldom. i tried turning off econ, bihira din jerking. dun lang talaga sa slow acceleration + econ on nangyayari. just so weird. i’ll to change gas din on my next 2-3 full tanks baka makatulong. if still recurring, casa na talaga.

Pasali po...
Experienced this a lot when decelerating my civic rs when it was new, like it's gear-hunting or something .. It is the cvt's belt adjusting or "mating" to its pulley surfaces. I rarely experience it now, especally after doing the first recommended service interval (every 20k kms). What you can try to do is do "manual" downshifting with the lefthand paddle, this helps a lot with reducing the delay when you need the power of a lower "gear ratio" in certain situations. Hope this helps.
