I agree, CRDI is the best not only here in the Phils.

But I am more concerned of the quality of the fuel ( diesel) being sold here in the Phils.

I doubt if it is clean enough for the CRDI engines.

from what i've gleaned from google, the 2.0 4x2 crdi tucson has 14 seconds 0-100 km/h while the 2.3L 4x2 escape has 11 (sec).

around 480t-550t depending on the conditions of the escape, fuel mileage is around 5-6km/liter city driving.

I have a 2008 escape limited edition bought last september 2008 but seldom use since me and my whole family is living in hong kong. Actually the odometer is only about 3k up to this date. Its been 6 months already since i last used and just ask somebody to start up the engine every other day for 30 minutes. Anybody can give me an insight on how to better utilise the car since it was just park at home for a long period.

sir i would suggest that you tell them to move the car(frontward/backward) to prevent stuck-up of brake calipers. long period of time will create rust on the disc brakes....

Is the 2.3 engine of the 2009 Escape different from the 2007? If the new Escape is hitting around 9km/liter, Ford may have modified the new Escape's engine to become fuel efficient. I wonder what's the modification...
