Nakapila na kami sa Ford Libis. Our SA did not ask for a reservation fee. Sinulat ko lang name ng dad ko, and we are number 55 sa white. Ang gusto ng dad ko, by December makukuha na namin yung Explorer. Bebenta kasi yung Gen. 2 Expedition namin at 2011 Sonata YF sa December rin. The proceeds that we will be getting from the sale of our 2 cars, part of it will be for the payment ng down ng Explorer, then the other remaining balance manggagaling sa Bank P.O.
OT: yung matitira sa proceeds ng sale ng 2 cars namin part din ng pang down sa 3.2 Ranger Wildtrak next year.
Tomorrow, I will be passing by Ford Commonwealth, EDSA, and Global City to make a reservation. Paunahan na lang kung sino makakapagbigay agad ng unit sa amin by December.
Bro, i'm just curious. Are you sure your SA is serious? I ask cause everyone who put's a reservation normally would be charge a reservation fee. I worry since hindi kayo siningil ng reservation fee eh sa hangin nilista ng SA kayo. Reservation fees is charge to measure & capture the full interest of client, otherwise any juan dela cruz could just request to reserve then go.
I wish you luck on your quest for the explo.
*numbah5: Ayos! 2 Ford vehicles agad. Tell the SA that you will be getting Explo & Ranger baka pwede ka nya i-jump sa queue ng Explo and pati na din Ranger (I assume mahaba na din pila)![]()

Stunning naman yung dalawa, although mas madating yung Pajero when you say it sa taong walang alam at sa hindi pa nakikita yung kotse.
"ano kotse mo?"
"Pajero"
"Ah wow!"
"ano kotse mo?"
"explorer"
"ano brand nun?"
Hahahahaha.
I have to disagree with the bolded phrase. Kasi kung ganun, why do buyers who have many money tend to buy the more expensive Land Cruiser 200 than the cheaper Expedition? Answer is the better FC. Same with those who buy the diesel BMWs and Volvos. People nowadays tinitignan nila sa binibili nilang car, FC agad kahit 300k or above 2M pa ang price. Kaya nga medyo dumadami din yung Prado kahit 3.710M ang price nun. Ngayon kaya hotcake ang Explorer is because of its very cheap price (compared to its competitors). Isama na rin na it has more toys than the competition and looks better than most of the competition.

Hehe, nowadays FC na ang isa sa pinaka important na factor to MOST buyers, even to buyers of premium vehicles
.... what they (buyers of premium vehicles like say BMW X5) don't consider is they will never get back the price difference (say a BMX X5 diesel compared to the initial cost of the explorer, i.e., 6.39M vs 2.37M= a difference of ~3M) by virtue of their vehicle's fuel efficiency alone during the normal life span of the vehicle
... my point is hindi mo masi save yong 3million sa loob ng 5 years or even 10years dahil mas matipid sya compared sa explorer... of course, the BMW is more premium and more luxurious and has better driving dynamics... so in reality, I think people buy premium vehicles more because of brand recognition, perceived quality and dependability.... sinasabi lang nila na 'binili ko yan kc diesel, matipid sa fuel' pampalubag loob lang hehe
... personally I am not really concerned about FC no matter if I drive a subcompact or a luxury SUV, whether I drive slow or drive fast.. NOT because I have money to buy more fuel BUT because constantly thinking about fuel consumption hinders my full enjoyment of the vehicle... that is not to say I drive without thinking green (the environment, not what you are thinking hehe), I just want to enjoy driving without thinking about the next gas fill.
HAPPY MOTORING!
well to make it clearer FC is the least of their worries. a lot of rich people when they're in the market for a car what they are looking for is the exclusivity, brand, looks and features. they rarely look at the FC and resale value. if it has a better FC than the other choice or it's available in diesel then great but if not they could care less. when you're purchasing a car over 2M and the FC is holding you back, that just means you can't afford to own a 2M+ car yet. the higher the price of the car, the higher the cost of ownership will be (FC/maintenance).
This is have to agree. Actually, FC is very subjective as to how much economical is economical in gas consumption. It's a moving target. In fact on the same brand & model, the consumption is not exactly the same cause the driver is also a factor, maintenance, road/traffic conditions, gas use etc...varies. So why worry about FC, just enjoy your car otherwise you better just walk or bike. If you worry about gas & maintenance, a car is not for you to have.![]()

Currently, there are 2 variants of the Explorer. The 2.0 Ecoboost GTDi XLT, priced at 2.1 something million pesos, and the 3.5 Ti-VCT V6 Limited, priced at 2.595M pesos. There are no confirmations yet from Ford Philippines, but there is a possibility the 3.5 Ecoboost GTDi V6 Sport variant will be sold here, prices we don't yet as there is no confirmation if it will be sold here.

My dad decided not to push through with his plan of getting an Explorer this December. His reason is the ridiculously high dealer's incentive that Ford Philippines made standard to the Explorer Limited variant. 10% D.I. is too much according to him and our banks that gave us their rates. Di na ba pwedeng pakiusapan na babaan pa yang 10% D.I.?
My dad and I really liked the Explorer pero kasi nakakaturn off talaga yang 10% D.I. na yan. Toyota wasn't like that before nung mahaba ang pila ng Fortuner noon. 6 months waiting time din noon like the Explorer but they did not ask for a 10% D.I.
Kukuha pa rin kami, pero that will happen if hindi na 10% D.I. or hindi ganun kahaba ang pila

10% D.I. only applies if you're planning to purchase it through their in-house financing, the only reason you would want to avail of their in-house financing is if you want to get your car asap and not fall in line. in your case since you plan to get it on december pa naman, why not have one reserved now and tell them you'll buy it cash so they don't slap you with the 10% D.I. but they'll tell you about the long waiting time. anyway you still have 6 months so i'm sure if you have one reserved now there's a pretty good chance you'll get one by december with the terms you want to pay.
