Since typhoon season na, napansin ko lang na yung fog lamps ng Explo natin ay parang ordinary halogen bulb lang kasi magkakulay sila ng headlight. Hindi ba dapat dark yellowish yung color ng ilaw ng fog lamps?

Easy, go under the front bumper... Remove one screw on the plastic undertray on each side so that you can access the fog light assembly... Just twist the bulb out, replace the bulb and re place... Just make sure the angled electrical socket is facing downwards...
Wala naman radar yong unit natin for the adaptive cruise control so wala kang tatamaan na iba doon sa area...
I had no problems with moisture on the fogs.
Nakita ko rin yong horns during that time pero nasa itaas--ilalim at likod ng headlamps assembly driver's side... I am tempted to change the horns as my next mod hehe... Diko lang alam kung kakasya yong 2 mitsuba horns doon sa area.
May nagpalit na ba ng horns sa atin?
Ah ok, mabilis lang pala. Akala ko mabusisi. Tsaka especially Explo natin wala pa masyadong piyesa so have to be extra careful. Thanks for the tip.
Tuwing kelan PMS ng Explorer? Every 5k or 10k kms? How much inabot each PMS?
Good morning Explorer owners! We are gonna change our color to Kodiak Brown kapag available na yun dito sa atin. I hope na walang 10% D.I. yun at if we place a reservation for it kahit October-November makakakuha kami ng unit by December. Happy Motoring!!
Btw, some of my co-members in the Montero Sport Club, including some of the officers, plan to buy an Explorer also. hehehe. Buo daw ng Explorer club
Wala pa bang nakakapag test drive ng Ecoboost variant dito? Kasi bakit yung mga reviews sa U.S., they're bashing the 2.0 Ecoboost while here, Andy Leuterio and James Deakin were all praises for the 2.0 Ecoboost.

I've only read one full test of the Explorer EcoBoost and it's from Motor Trend.
For them the Explorer EcoBoost's 0-60mph acceleration time of 9.2 seconds is slow. Here in the Philippines, that's faster than most large SUVs sold here (most are diesel powered).
In the US, the standard FWD Explorer is powered by the same 290hp 3.5 liter V6 as the 4WD Explorer, the more fuel efficient 240hp 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine is a $995.
In the Philippines, the FWD Explorer is only sold with a 2.0 EcoBoost engine so it's not much of a problem (no more affordable FWD V6 model to tempt buyers).

AG4, I've read that article. The article said na konti lang difference ng city driving FC (5.68 km/l for the V6 Limited, 5.95 km/l for the Ecoboost XLT). Given those figures, is the 345k price difference justifiable? My dad kasi wants to change our reservation to the Ecoboost XLT variant, he's gonna use the Explorer 6 days a week, sometimes magiging 7 days a week.
His usual route is Commonwealth-Tomas Morato-UERM, pero may 3 days na nasa Makati and Greenhills siya, madalas inaabutan ng traffic.
Help me guys para I can convince my dad to make the right decision and not regret buying the wrong variant.
Explorer owners, pinag-uusapan na namin ng mga co-members ko sa MSCP (Montero Sport Club of the Philippines) yung future Explorer Club. Dumadami ang mga may planong bumili ng Explorer. What do you think guys?

If you drive mostly in the city, i personally think there will be no significant savings on the ecoboost... but it remains to be seen
Hmmmmm, we can be allied with Ford Club Philippines (FCP) as an officially sanctioned subgroup... Only FCP is officially recognized/supported by Ford Group Philippines... The Fiesta subgroup is like that, under the umbrella of FCP... As a member of FCP, I can help in the process if you want.
The article conclusion was insignificant anf difference in city driving. Now we look at it in hiway or long drives. Most often, these test runs are done with not much load but we know tayong pinoy, pag long runs, dami kasama at bibit. So will it be significant as well given at loaded condition? Worse lagi pang gumagana ang booster. Even worse, baka when you decide to overtake at loaded condition, kapusin bigla dahil sa booster delay or it will wait to the booster to pump in. Just imagine how you would react in a climb & you want to overtake, the question of kaya ba o hindi will always be in your mind. For me, the ecoboost variant is nothing but an explorer shell loaded into a escape engine.
It would be wiser to buy an everest or montero than the ecoboost. You can even have the great features of these 2 models at a lesser price of an ecoboost. The 345K difference would still be worth it just comparing with 2013 xlt model.
The following can be found on page 419 of the 2012MY Explorer Owner Guide 2nd Printing in the NORMAL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND LOG section:
“Intelligent Oil Life Monitor™
Your vehicle is equipped with an Intelligent Oil Life Monitor™ that determines when the engine oil should be changed based on how your vehicle is used. By using several important factors in its calculations, the monitor helps reduce the cost of owning your vehicle and reduce environmental waste at the same time. This means you won’t have to remember to change the oil on a mileage-based schedule; the vehicle lets you know when an oil change is due by displaying ENGINE OIL CHANGE DUE or OIL CHANGE REQUIRED in the message center.
The following table is intended to provide examples of vehicle use and its impact on engine oil change intervals; it is provided as a guideline only. Actual engine oil change intervals will depend on several factors and will generally decrease with severity of use.
When to expect the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message
7500-10000 miles (12000-16000 km.) with “Normal” use:
– Normal commuting with highway driving
– No, or moderate, load/towing
– Flat to moderately hilly roads
– No extended idling
....The question is: if Ford designed vehicles with the intelligent oil life monitor, why would anyone not trust the computer to telll you when it's time to change the oil?...
....AND THE REALLY BIG QUESTION IS should we abide by what the dealer says regarding the frequency of oil change at the threat of voiding warranty (in the guise of profit)... AND WHY WOULD ANY DEALER VOID YOUR WARRANTY IF YOU FOLLOWED WHAT THE MANUAL SAYS regarding when to do oil change!
????????????????????????
Of course the computer is not perfect and we can do the oil change earlier and as often as we want but it should not be because the dealer says so!
Considering the message from Prostee which i believe was stated in the Manual, i will comply with what the manual
or computer (intelligent oil life monitor) would say. We all know the that casa will always like to have it their way simply because of commercial reason. We also knew that oil life at normal use would exceed 5K or 10K for synthetic but still we follow what casa or travel logged as base line reference cause that's the easiest to remember. Now there's this computer that will remind us with due consideration to wastage, let's make full use of the technology we paid for.
If there is something i missed or misunderstood, feel free to point it out. I also wonder why casa never changed the oil during the 1K check. Normally, that should have been replaced as break-in oil as what i my experience to my other cars. Is it part of their cost reduction at our expense?
BTW how does the computer know or would reset if oil has been changed? Is there a level sensor ?
Thanks guys for pointing out this "intelligent feature".
