Anyone experienced arcing at the battery(+) terminal of the Explorer? Ano ang inyong fix? I tried Spanjaard battery terminal protector. I also tried contact grease. Nabawasan lang ang arcing pero meron pa din. Kinakain yung pole ng baterya at yung ring ng terminal(+). TIA.
Battery dealer po ako, tubig lng po panglinis dyan gamitin mo ng toothbrush. Kung laging nagcocorrode tanggalin mo yung terminal, tingnan mo kung may crack sa gilid ng post, kung merong crack, covered pa yan ng warranty, i claim nyo sa pinagbilhan niyo. Pero bago nyo tanggalin ang terminal istart nyo muna yung engine para hindi mawala ang program.

Hi Explorer lovers. I'm planning to buy a new Explorer Sports 3.5L v6.
I am just wondering why some owners are selling their units with very low mileage, some less than 1000 kms and others around 10,000 kms. Is there a problem with the latest model?
Any suggestions which dealer can I get the best deals? Discounts and freebies if cash?

At speed that high the engine will endure high temperature and it will affect first the engines sealant
High temperature melt those sealants in the engine block which eventually discharge a putrid burnt rubber smell which could seep into your cars cabin thru the aircon duct
The typical after effect of this kind of driving habit is an oil leak

Sometimes high current fuses are connected to the +terminal
Normally those fuses are covered by the red insulation covering, remove that then observe all the fuses

^Update in case may mga Explorer owners with the same issue sa the battery (+) terminal with excessive corrosion.
Tama si "Admer and 3J", may tama nga yung baterya (Motorcraft) according sa service ng Ford at kinain na din yung terminal post. In short, pinalitan (under warranty) ng bagong baterya (Motolite for Ford). Yun, nawala ang corrosion. I still don't know kung babalik later.
Ang problema, although gumagana naman, yung terminal ring ng plus(+) harness ay may tama na din. Ang sabi ng service, kelangan daw palitan yung buong plus(+) harness. Mukhang walang nabibili na ring lang. Still pinafollowup ng service kung pasok sa warranty.
Me nagplit na ba sa me mga explorer ng front sway bar link sa harap at shock absorbers sa likod? Anong brand pinalit nyo original parts ba o aftermarket? If after market ano maganda? Meron bang MOOG or Mevotech na nabibili sa Pinas, saan kaya?

Ito gawin mo. Steadily accelerate until you reach 100-120kph. Tapos mag accelerate ka as in biglang accelerate parang to overtake like your life depended on it from 2500rpm to 3500/4000rpm. Lalabang yang amoy.
Amoy na sunog na oil or basta masamang amoy. Very evident ang amoy sa 2nd and 3rd rows.
Warning lang...sorry pero lahat ng explorer ay affected kahit itanong mo pa sa service advisor mo . Sasabihin na lang sa iyo na wag mong biritin. Good luck!
I just changed my 15 explorer stock halogen bulbs to led. I have noticed that the driver side light output is somewhat yellow green specially when I turn it to high beam I already have it replace by the supplier but same light output color is comes out. Any inputs on this?

Gentlemen, a piece of advice: PAGAWA NA NINYO LAHAT NG PWEDENG PAGAWA PARTICULARLY RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY FOR POWER STEERING, TSB 12-12-04 FOR THE EXHAUST SMELL, A-PILLAR AT AC TSB if you are under warranty. Pahihirapan na kayo ni Ford Philippines after the fact.
Update: 2 weeks na ang unit ko sa dealer. Today, Ford Philippines denied my warranty claim for the rack and pinion assembly replaced last year as part of the recall program. Since replacement date, 16k kms palang ang tinakbo ng unit ko. Dapat palitan ng Ford Philippines since same defective part kahit out of warranty na ako.
Im going to fight this sa DTI. So kung sino may na experience na grinding and sluggish steering, popping noise when turning left or right at low speed and mabigat na feeling na when steering message me.

This used to be my dream car but has now turned out to be my biggest nightmare.
Just bought a 2012 model with only 40k km on the clock. I have never seen so many parts malfunction in a car life span as I have seen it happen to this car.
I can clearly see how bad ford cars are and how weak they are. My first and last ford for sure.
