I'm sure they will bring that in. But the model they showed me was the 3.5 v6 twin turbo 375hp monster.
So here we are 3 years after I bought the 2013MY Ford Explorer Limited V6.
Fuel consumption has been stuck to 5.5km per liter though I haven't tried resetting the adaptive transmission by pulling the battery plug. Mang driver has a heavy foot.
SMELL AFTER/DURING ACCELERATION is still there if you maintain a high speed between 120 kph and 140 kph. But with traffic nowadays, who can drive and cruise at that speed right?
Another PROBLEM arose after 1 month warranty expired: AC DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL issue TSB 12-1-8. Driver side temp lacks full cool strength and rear AC blowing air with 22-25 degrees temp kahit sagad na sa cool setting.
Now in the shop for the AC problem. Hoping and praying that FORD will still honor the issue as under warranty. I have serviced this unit following the PMS even if I don't reach the KM requirement.
So there you have it, you can back track to what I have encountered with the Ford Explorer. It's a great vehicle but it has a lot of issues. If you can turn a blind eye to the model's defects and you don't mind having your unit serviced all the time, then go for it. It's a good thing Ford Alabang has taken good care of me...hoping it didn't end after the warranty....

After 3 days nilabas ko na Ex sa casa, nawala na check engine light and fault. Sabi nilinis lang daw throttle and reprogram ng computer. Nadala ko na siya sa tagaytay right after release, nakabalik din ako alabang but biglang bumalik nanaman fault. Recycle start then nawala. Haay ano kaya ito nakakafrustrate. Buti nalang naiuwi ko pa after recycle, nabawasan not like before but kala ko totally wala na. Nakakatakot tuloy gamitin nanaman
My sympathy to you sir on those experience. Aside from the exhaust smell thing, I never had experience on the rest (knock on wood) and i'm grateful. Alabang din ako nagpapaservice. The lowest gas consumption i got is 6.4 km/L . Mine has already 26K kms in the odo 2012 release. I just change my battery end of last month.
Sir, papalitan mo yung sensor. had that problem on my escape before after having an engine wash. Minsan meron , minsan nawawala yung engine check light. May kamahalang yang sensor sa Ford but it's available sa internet.
Not sure what is the part number is, Pa check mo lang sir sa technician, they would know it.
Ok sir thanks. Already advised SA sa sensor, sabi try din daw icheck. Initial check today diagnostic code sa throttle nanaman daw like before. Pinpoint daw muna then tom update ulit. Getting frustrated na sa Ex parang gusto ko na tuloy ibenta. Wala na din naman warranty so puro gastos pag sira kahit baba pa ng tinakbo
Hehe, after 3 years mo talaga mo malaman kung ano talaga ang isang car. 3 years ago this new Ford explorer is thriftier daw. Now, it's 5.5km / liter. Halos .5km lang pala difference sa old V6 Ford explorer. Andami pa nila marketing like ecoboost, ganun din pala lol
Then the sensors and all those electronic features meant to make your life comfortable , so it's intermittently failing and solving itself lol. Mukhang it's a trend sa mga Fords.
In my opinion, those electronic festures are just more money thst you have to spend pag nagluluko.
Parang yun automatic seats,c grabe sa sobrang bagal adjust mo seats, yun mga ka-convoy mo nakaalis na ng parking
Yun nga eh. May pros and cons din talaga.. Siguro best way is to enjoy nalang and sagadin mo na habang within the warranty period, then after, benta na para di na abutan ng mga sakit sa ulo.
Just an update sa issue ng Ex ko, SA called earlier this morning, throttle na daw mismo talaga ang sira. Weird lang di naman ginagamit masyado and 10k palang tinakbo since 2011. Hopefully ma consider nila for warranty but di na din ako nageexpect, nagreready na din sa worst
Try mo gsmitin car mo ng 3 consecutive days a week. Kaya nagluko yan kasi hindi nagagamit
Ngaun, ang ganda ganda ng takbo ng explorer ko coz lagi ko ngsun dala. Ang murs kasi ng gas unlike 8 years agom halos 2 weeks nasa garahe. Tingin ko yun sng problem eh, gsmitin in the first two days ignore those irregularites. If you can use a whole week straight, why not.
Abs light ko bigla nag-on pag nag speed up ako. Then patay makina, off na yun abs liight. Weird. Now, it doesnt turn on intermittently anymore. Lagi ko hinhataw pag may opportunity
