passed by ford last night i really don't like how the sterling gray looked like, i'd rather wait for a black or bronze na lang. yon nga lang SA told me that their next shimpent won't be till june or july and they have no idea how many units they will get.

Maybe local spec Explorers all have the same aluminum polished wheels. But if you look a few pages back, someone posted the different year model Explorers in the US with different mags. And they look better than our local version. Kinantiyawan nga ako ng ibang kaibigan ko when they saw the mags, ok na sana body pero mags lang yung panira which I kinda agree hehehe!!

*apple5: hindi ko napansin kung HID yung sa MIAS '12. I'm contented with the stock headlights since my windshield isn't fully tinted so malinaw sa gabi. About the software version, meron yan, di ko lang matandaan where exactly.

tribeca handles slightly better but the explorer is a much better overall car compared to the tribeca. i'm a huge subaru guy and always have 1 subie in my garage but the tribeca is one of the subies i would never buy. to me it's ugly and overpriced.

btw confirmed nga na the explorer doesn't have HID headlights. kind of stupid if you ask me, considering all the hi-tech features that comes with it and they couldn't equip it with an HID. and to think that i told my self to never buy a car that isn't equipped with HID headlights from the factory. anyway i'm sure garyq can fix that problem.

Also, in Ford Philippine's website, it says it comes daw with a Rear Seat DVD Entertainment System as standard. Can anyone confirm this?

Rented the Explorer 4x2 V6 here in the US. Did't feel that it has 290 horses, but it's a rental car and the oil change warning message keeps popping out every time I start the car. Could this be the reason for the sluggishness?

The MyFord is a bit complicated at first. Can't figure out how to turn on the rear A/C at first. But once you got used to it, ok na.

Finally my Explorer achieved a 7 km/liter FC over the Easter break, no metro traffic Now that we are back to regular programming, balik sa 4.5 km/liter city driving for sure

I made 6.1 kpl on my trip from Sta Rosa to Nasugbu Batangas & back inclusive of 30 minutes crawling traffic approaching Tagaytay
junction and a 1 hour with stand still traffic approaching Palico junction last Saturday at full load capacity. Return trip was still full load but smooth as silk traffic condition.

Thursday will be going to Baguio. Will see what this toy can consume on longer trip with very light load and lighter traffic along the way.

BTW, my measurement is not reference to the dash board info but rather distance traveled vs top up gas (at auto full tank reference). In addition, do not try to over fill the tank after the pump has automatically shuts-off as it will only spill over.

Had the explorer last november, so far so good, was lucky na di napunta sakin ung may pillar na issue. Swertehan lng tlga. Although yung sa sis ko na unit, nagulat nlng kami may tumutunog sa glove compartment. Kahit anong tanggal ng gamit di parin nawawala. We decided na ipasok ulit, after almost a day, it turned out na isa sa mga clips that holds the dashboard in-place was loose.

Averaged around 5km/L sa Edsa traffic. Not bad na rin comparing to a 3.5 V6 camry which umabot ako ng 3.8km/l before

Guys, any1 experienced MFT hang?? twice na nangyari sakin, i never turn the radio off everytime i leave the car, so pagbukas ng pinto in turns off by itself, one time nakababa na ko, music is still playing, even nalock ko na. weird. What i did was wait almost 10min, pressed the on/off button several times. Ayun at nawala.
Then one time after making a call, nagstuck sya sa "call ended" sa screen. tsk tsk, then suddenly nagreset magisa then it says scheduled maintenance, please wait. After a minute ok na. Might be the old version pa?
Also tried connecting the car to wifi also, but di tlga maupdate until may usb ka dapat. Went to the MFT site, but only for US VIN # lng ang pwede magdownload.

Isa rin ako sa mga di type ang stock wheels that came with the exp. hahaha super shiny for me, opted to change to a same size and specs so that ill be able to retain the ride and the tires. Para bawas din sakit sa bulsa. Share ko lng


Also I was worried na baka magkaproblem sa tpms when retaining the tires. The sensor has no problem kasi nililipat lng but ung valve stem daw nababali once removed from the stock mags. So i searched sa net if what kind of tpms sensor for the explo and bought just the valves on amazon. Around $5 a set then via Jhny air (wala daw stock dto, need to order the whole set pa with sensor sabi ng casa. e ang mahal nun) Dont know if meron na nakapagpalit and retained the old valves.. wanted to be sure, ayaw ko naman kasi na may iilaw nlng sa dashboard re tpms.

Funny sa 1st pms ko, the chekers didn't notice that i changed the wheels hahahaha. Baka mavoid warranty ko sa suspension!

Kahit may slight bug and delay si MFT, grabe padin ang features. Whew. Was able to edit some of my photos to fit the wallpaper size req'd for the screen. So far kung anong edit and sharpen ko, ganda ng handling in terms of pixels.
Connected the ipad to play movies with the use of composite av cable so far ok naman but may 2 secs lag yet manageable prin. My problem since ipad1 p ito, it plays the movie, ayaw lng nya magcharge, sabi sa upper right side, accesory not supported Although if ipad, i find it too big and need to leave the compartment for the wires.

Help !!!! The License Plate has just arrived, problem is i don't know how to install the the plate sa front. Do we need to buy the bracket? I feel defeated.
