I'd wait for the new Fortuner and wait for the second year New Everest. We bought the 3.2 Ranger Wildtrak and so far nag palit na kami ng turbo twice in 1 year pa lang.

My Explorer has been with Ford Alabang for more than a week now to service the following: coolant and radiator hose replacement, re-painting of the hood for bubbles, replacement of headlamp with hand marks inside the assembly, and the replacement of signal lever stalk.

I hope nothing else comes out that needs fixing...*crossing fingers*

Bro, what happened to your coolant and radiator hose? And to your headlamp? And signal lever talk? And why they are needed to be replaced? Thanks.

You dont need to go 140 to test for the smell. Just rev it to 4-5k rpm and stay there for a bit. You will know then. Can be in first or second gear. Go manual mode and use the flappy paddles.

By the way. The new one is coming out in october. The facelifted one. Google 2016 explorer platinum. New gauges, interior, lights, drl, bumpers and rear tail lights. Also uses Sync 3. Gave my reservation na.

If you can wait. Maybe they fixed the issue na there in the facelifted models.

I believe so. I wouldnt risk it if i were you. Lots (i mean lots) of electronic and computers in that car. If something needs service..........

the lights are super strong anyway on the explorer. You wont have an issue even with a fully tinted windshield.

Coolant and radiator hose replaced due to AC foul odor smell kahit naka off.

Headlamp driver side has HAND MARKS inside the assembly lens. Noong una akala ko from moisture pero hindi na mawala at you can see na HAND MARKS talaga.

SIgnal lever naman ay sobrang tigas to push up or down. Parang mababali ko na yung lever stalk every time i turn on the left or right signal.

Hood paint bubbles ay defect lang talaga ng mga units from 2011-2013. You'll see it start from the edge of the front bumper. Technician actually showed me.

I'm infected with the car bug, craving for a new ride. And I'm madly in love with the Expy. Sadly i can't afford a brand new Expy, and save up for a pre-owned instead.

Guys i got my unit already and loving it. No foul odor yet hope it doesn't show up in the future. Halogen lights were ok and bright enough to light up provincial roads. By the way, does the foglight turn off when you switch to bright/hi headlights? Thanks for the inputs guys

Im not sure with the explorer but for most american cars, the fog light turns off everytime you switch to high beam. Some american cars also wont let you turn on your fog light unless your low beam is on.

6.4 pag with city , best is 8.8 on mostly hi-way drive. Same 3.5 engine 4WD.

3.5 ecoboost is different from our standard 3.5 v6. The ecoboost has twin turbos hence it has a ton more torque and HP. But that highway mileage is kinda bad

Yup. I asked around from US sites and they said that it is illegal on majority of states to have the high beam and fogs at the same time. Never tried turning the fogs at park lights though

Just make another reservation, you can deduct both reservation fee from whichever vehicle you're going to purchase.
