yes. it is a toss between titanium ev and explo now for me.

Explorer is much more roomier though the everest is more economical and a true 4x4. The everest will surely have better resale value but I would still choose the Explorer because of the space and presence.

Yeah. They are not apple to apple. When I dropped by Ford makati last week it was the everest titanium i was interested with. The SA asked me to check an explorer being prepped for delivery. Darn. It got me at hello. But I'm worried with the smell issue and the too computerized system. Computer systems don't last long. So now I can't make up my mind.

I'm surprise with your problem as it ain't mind boggling, it's a cat and dog comparison. Which of a pet do you want, a cat or a dog? Simple. One is gas the other is diesel. From that it self, you can already differentiate specially on your daily consumption is already miles a part. Computer is already in every cars now a days except for sarao, so you can't escape on this one. If your looking at comfort for driver and passenger, explorer it is. If only the comfort of the driver since you will be driving it, the everest will be more economical choice. If your looking at price, the top of the line of everest vs the cheapest explo is easily 500K difference.

If your looking at maintenance, the everest require 2X change oil vs an explorer but beyond that, their the same already as their both Ford.

Any ideas please as to when the next gen will come out? Was thinking if the current gen is on its way out, Ford might offer a good discount on the current gen. Or is it a practice of Ford dealerships to offer such a discount?

according to the sales person i talked to, they dont have any advisory yet. however, based on past experiences, it would take 2 years after release in the US. if thats the case, it may be by end of 2016 or early 2017.

Guys quick question, anong insurance gamit nyo for Ex? Expired na kasi akin I'm thinking of switching sa ibang company, yung hindi sana sakit sa ulo mag claim

Darn another issue came up sa Ex ko. Suddenly pag exit palang basement parking (uphill), i noticed parang kinakapos power kala ko nabibitawan ko lang gas. Then pag labas, bigla ayaw na mag accelerate tapos parang mamamatay na engine dahil baba ng RPM. Sa instrument cluster, bigla nag AWD OFF then after a while may nag popup na TERRAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FAULT w/ amber wrench sa lower part. Inoff on ko lang engine then nawala, tapos ayun bumalik nanaman w/ the check engine light ON. Buti nalang nasa labas palang ako ng parking.

May nakaexperience na ba sa inyo? Out of warranty pa naman nako

Also, any review/s sa Ford Manila Bay service? Eto kasi pinakamalapit, baka hindi kayanin umabot sa Ford Alabang pa

Thanks for the reply. Check out ko din yung vid, possible din throttle as per other users sa explorerforum.. No exact solution yet sa research ko yung iba sinasabi naman possible sensor daw or upgrade ng system module kelangan or another TSB about ABS. Other users naman said after cycling the key or turning the engine off then on again, nawawala then di na bumabalik. Sa case ko kanina nawala sandali then after driving a few meters, bumalik nanaman.

Weird lang diko naman na experience ito ever since before, no early signs or something.. And once or twice a week ko lang ginagamit Ex for short drives sa city lang, never abused

Anyway, will try to call the nearest casa muna (Mla bay), then will let you guys know kung ano mangyari. Hopefully madala ko pa at umabot

Just an update:

Dinala ko na Ex sa nearest casa, buti umabot pa mayat maya lang ako reset kasi hindi nagaaccelerate paglabas ng error.

Sabi sakin now ng SA, error daw na lumabas after diagnose is sa throttle. Diko lang maisip masyado na possible kasi 10k palang milege ng Ex and hindi masyado nagagamit puro short city drives lang since 2011
