petron doesn't have any available MSDS or even product data sheet... caltex and shell has their PDS available in the internet...
makes you really wonder why petron doesn't divulge whats in their oil.... for the same price that trekker sells, you can buy a good oil that has a good additive and PDS available...
i have never been a fan of petron especially their hauler and trekker series...
Why that lying s..... :D Well he told me two days ago that they didn't have any more stocks of the B28 bec. the people from the forums cleaned him out.
Well its a good thing he didn't sell it to me. :D
Now I don't know what filter to use for our fleet of L300 FBs.
Check this : Baldwin Filters E-Catalog
USDM Yaris only uses 1NZ-FE (1.5) and according to Baldwin's site, B33 is the one you should use.
^ sir use the Bosch filter na lang for your 4d56. At least guaranteed better performance than OEM and Vic but almost thrice cheaper.![]()
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
BT223 fits all 4cly toyota gas engines and gives you a bit more filtering surface, cars can use a variety of sizes of filters you can go bigger you can go smaller, it just needs to have the same thread pattern, same bypass valve range, burst pressure, and flow numbers. The BT223 flows more than the B33, is slightly bigger, same bypass valve, same burst pressure so it's the better filter. They do not have the B33 in stock.
I'm surprised to see the BD28 would not fit the L300's it's to bad you would figure they would have the clearance since it's smaller than the stock filter unless your ride is converted? The Bosch filter for the 4D56 is like 1.5" taller and it's wider so that's out the door for you to.
The JS catalog also says BD28 for the L300, perhaps your frame has a issue,
JS Filters :: Application Cross Reference and Image for JS : Oil (Spin-on) : C306J
The JS filter is 125mm long the BD28 is 136mm, that's only 10mm which is only a 0.39 inch difference.
* number001 measure your current filters and the space. All you need is 136mm of space.

Looks like you have a good inch to play with there. Best bet would be to try a BD28, Get if from the guy who cannot now use it because it does not fit.
What to do with the spare 2 micron filters..
Made a dialysis machine for the generator's sub tank

Bro, the thread would fit but im not sure with the OD and length.. Though the gaskets are almost the same, it would depend on how flat is the spin-on filter-base.. Some base have lid that makes it impossible to go beyond the OD.. But you may try it.. Im using BT233 in my corolla and camry but never crossed my mind to use B233(im using for the Nav). What i noticed with the Toyota is that the spin on base plate is Flat that makes room for more OD..
Well if it does fit that is a big fat bonus, because you now have a much larger filter.
Almost all Nissans have that stupid lip on them so you cannot put on a larger diameter filter but if the surface is flat it will work just fine. The gaskets as 12vDC stated are pretty much the same.
Here is a example, the B34 has the same gasket as the B233. and is just a little shorter than the B233.
2002 Corolla oil filter mount, There appears to be no lip and a little bit of space.
The BT223 is what the V6 engines run and is what is a direct fit on all the 4cly gas engines with no clearance issues.
I know you can go longer but wider you would have to check for clearance, I would go ahead and get the proper size because it the B233 does not fit your not without a vehicle waiting on the part.

Hmm know I wonder. Since there filter media is essentially the same and so are the burst pressures for fuel and oil filters you might be able to use this for a bypass set up. with a Oil cooler adapter. I could always call FG for the specs on that one.
To bad the Navara does not have space for one of these and a filter. I got a extra one sitting at my house in the Philippines. With this and some high TBN oil you could go without changing it for around 25000klms or more. Not to mention it would stay pretty damm clean. Hell I'd let you have it if you could find a shorter stock filter to make it work. You seem pretty Mcgiver anyways.

Doc, Since i used a Fully synthetic oil and fleetguard LF3644 for my gasoline engine, even most of the time drive it hard and long, it took the oil 2 months or almost 4000kms to even turn slight brown...
Quality filters really prolong the life the of oil... good for the environment and pocket...
Sadly Vic is the preferred choice of many people...
dapat kasi magtinda Volmax at pacer sa banawe..hahaha.
That's why I have been pushing this, you save so much money in oil changes, and engine maintenance down the road. It's extremely wasteful to change your oil at 5000klm . No reason a good oil with a good filter can't go 10000klm or more. Especially on a gas engine.
It's a smart move for a taxi fleet or a person with a daily driver to a fleet of trucks.
Gas or diesel Innova? I was wondering since if it fits that it will defiantly fit the fortuner as well. May not work for smaller cars though like the corolla.
Looks like a tight squeeze on a D4D engine.
If you can snap a pic.

i kept on thinking why is it that VIC filters has a bad filtration system... so i destroy one of vic filter i used for 12000kms using mobil delvac 1 FS oil...
and here it is by layer:
