after 6 months of use on a ford everest gen1 in our province, this how the custom fleetguard looks...

there are a lot of sediments and water on the clear bowl at the bottom
there are also a lot of rust and brown like dirt of the pleats of the filter media and on the outer portion of the filter housing

when it was still new and unused...

the gasoline stations at our province are really down right dirty.. their storage tanks are full of dirt and rust... imagine the dirt that could potentially pass through and go to your engine...

Was looking at the cross reference site of JS Filters: JS Filters :: Application Cross Reference and Image for JS : Oil (Spin-on) : C313J. For the Montero 2.5L, the fleetguard equivalent is LF3830. But based on back reading, the LF3564 is more commonly mention here. Question is, will the diameter/height fit?

Yup, better fill-up in PPC as much as possible. I believe that due to multiple transportation of fuel kaya nakakakuha ng ganyang contaminants.

Got myself a BD28 c/o mateomarco. TY sir.

May I make a suggestion sir.

Limit the purchase to at least 2 pcs so that others may also benefit from a very good filter. With extended drain capability, afaik most people would need the most 2-3 per year lang naman di ba. After all, bosch is readily available for those who just want to hoard.

Doc, is it safe to run ZIC UP 10w-40 upto 10,000 kms on a Mitsubishi Triton/Strada 4d56 engine?

Currently using the Asian-made Fleetguard LF3564 and it seems to be doing a good job at 4,200 kms (oil being very dark brown and not grainy to the touch). The oil actually wipes clean from the fingers with just a pass from a tissue paper and is still very fluid despite the dark color.

hao siao na yan, last may, june daw, i went there last june, july daw, now july na, august naman......

sa totoo lang, volmax should thank the starter of this thread because when the news of the bd28 exploded in this forum, volmax quickly ran out. they didnt expect the volume of people buying the bd28, since it is for mitsubishi 4m40 and 4m41 lang, filters like the bt223, practically all toyotas including the fortuner use this.

Mga boss alam ko medyo out of topic ako. Pero kasi napansin ko parang umingay lalo engine ng MS ko after my 1k PMS eh i used mineral oil galing sa casa. Pati oem oil filter. Then i fill my gas sa seaoil. I was wondering may kinalaman kaya ito sa langis na ginamit? Balak ko sa 5k pms ko eh sa labas na mga service center ko na pagawa para makapili ako magandang oil and filter.
