I read a column about it and there are some makers like The Bear Trap and FILTERMAG. In that column, it says also that you can use a magnet from the PC Hard Disk.

you can make a similar gadget like installing a loud speaker magnet at the end cap of the oil filter or a strip of flexible magnet like the one you can get out of refrigerator door around the oil filter. there had been cars with magnetic drain plug. you can also purchase after market magnetic drain plugs. this however, only takes care of ferrous debris. the worst enemy of engine lubrication is still sludging from overcooled engines and prolonged service intervals

Every little bit helps, You can also toss on on the Trans pan and oil pan. You can't beat free or super cheap. Should be plenty of dead hard drive you can get your hands on.
*dvldoc, will more magnet be better?

Just bought a Bosch 306 filter. Much more designed for 4d56 engine but in the box it says ok for 4m40 so i got it. Just for P312. Will replace the Vic filter asap. and then I will open the Vic filter to see what's inside. I have run almost 2,700kms on the Vic for 3 months so I guess it worth to try it.

The more the better, I like one on the bottom and a few on the sides of the filter. The amount of stuff caught should actually go down from oil change to oil change. If it does't it means your getting a lot of wear in your engine.

Alternative part numbers are Baldwin B1400 and Fleetguard LF3692 to replace the secondary. No other cross over to the primary filter.

If you are using VIC the system is pretty much worthless considering how poor they actually filter out anything smaller than 40 microns.

my question is can we use a combo style filter like Bd28,bd7160 and
bd7095 and lf3564?cuase i still have some space for 1 inch
what is the advantage of having combo filter than a regular full flow filter..

is vic c524 filter is combo filter?

Just make sure na all of those magnets will be the heavy duty type or high strength magnets. If you use the less strength magnets and it was accidentally taken/fall off then you have now a hefty chunk of ferrous materials now loose in your pans.
Cons of having it all sticked to your pans is you have to open up your oil pans in periodic intervals just to check and clean those accumulated ferrous materials, you don't wan't it to be just being collected there in long periods of time waiting for it to be freed from those magnetic flux and a sudden release will overwhelm your oil filtration.

it is best to put na lang in around the Oil Filter or stick to the Drain plug lang.

If there will be some entrepraneural motorheads na magbenta dito nyan...I'll get two pcs.

You should only use what crosses over, If your stock filter is a full flow then you use a full flow. But if it crosses to a combo filter use a combo filter. The VIC C524 is a full flow filter.

Sir dito lang sa province ko. Hindi siya combo filter eh but since Bosch, i want to try it again sa 4m40. Before sa 4d56 strada ko ay sulit siya kahit na every 7,500kms ako magpalit ng oil.

Yup, made in korea nga nakalagay. Doesn't look fake naman since distributor sila dto. May discount pa nga kasi cash kaya P299 lang bili ko. hehe

Sayang walang pang-4m40 talaga plus hindi daw mabenta kaya hindi na sila nag-iimport. Tingin ko kulang lang sila sa push selling eh.

I called civic merchandising, the retailer of fleetguard filters that dvldoc posted, sad to say most of what they have in stock are more of the industrial filters mainly heavy equipment, generators and the likes. but I have yet to received a call from them, the guy said he will check the principal inventory if they have the part number I'm looking for...

Hopefully they got the filter your looking for. Those Titan Golds are a good option as well.

I got about 3 responses back from Cummins filtration and they are doing a investigation into PACER, so hopefully it will clear out all the fakes shorty and people can actually buy there with confidence. That or they just loose there vendorship if they don't comply.

Still hoping for a pic of a Purolator pic from ACE hardware, need the stamp on the top of the filter and the filter number.

Great work man, do you have the filter number to? The production manager needs both.
