sorry double post
Hi Doc,
What of my question about change interval when using the Fleetguard fuel filter?
Also, will I still need to plumb in one of them Delphi filters if I use the Fleetguard?![]()
12000K for oil and 30000K for fuel filter for fleetguard is a good safe interval. I'm doing the 30k interval on my fuel filters as as well. The fleetguard fuel filter is 30 microns * 98% effciency, 50% * 10 microns and 30% 5 microns so it's a pretty good filter. The Delphi unit is around 98% efficient at 2 microns. So is it needed no, would it help yes.
just a little contribution to this thread ....I just realize that I haven't contributed anything and yet I've learned a lot already....
heres the site of the country distributor of Mann Hummel Lubricants,Ac Delco and Purolator
for the benefit of the guys who does not know yet...
Kwikparts - Primary supplier of automotive parts in the philippines
Im positive that we can get better prices from them rather than other retailers....![]()
They have some good stuff, But looks like there purolators are just the standard Purolator Classic which are still good filters for OEM replacment. They show Pureones but have no pureone part numbers.
And AC-Delco filters suck big time unless you get there old duraguard or Ultraguard filters ( not made anymore) They cheaped out and switched companies that make their fitlers about 3 years ago. The filter element is no longer protected by an inner metal sleeve. The welds are exposed. They simply look like a poorly made filter.
They all have plastic center tubes, Total garbage.

Very informative thread. Planning to buy Fleetguard for my FM and Montero. Time to ditch Mitsubishi OEM! 1200 for a crappy filter. Just need the part numbers for now. :D
Gising pa din pala si Boss BG ah.![]()
Pero puwede na rin yung pang-4d56 sa 4m40 diba. So ok na rin. If not Purolator next na mura at ok. medy pricey baldwin pero same performance with fleetguard naman eh.![]()
