is there any way to determine oil by just looking or feeling the oil itself. if mineral, semi or full synthetic? :confused:

more or less sir, yan ang norm.. madali kasi tandaan eh..
naging culture na sa automotive...

personally, i just use a branded, well established and trusted mineral oil(backed by research and data), which is cheap less than 150 per liter, then i change my oil at 3,500 kms... that way the oil is never fully used nor degraded... the soot and other particles suspended in the oil is removed much sooner.. necessary minerals are always replenished faster because of the short OCI... that's just me...

I get the best out of the oil, and i get the best out of my money, and the engine happy...

Madami akong nababasa sa net regarding OCI, ung 3K miles every OCI ay panahon pa ng 60's or 70's sa modern vehicles daw ngayon at sa improved oil quality, hindi na tugma ang 3k miles OCI, your wasting oil na daw. nabasa ko lang....

Delo 400 is best bang for the buck, much better if used with good oil filter brand like Baldwin...i used it almost 12,000kms in my montero and i am very satisfied...

Depende kasi kung gaano katagal plan mo na oil change interval. Kung comfortable ka sa 5,000kms, no need delo 400. Kaya naman ng delo gold ultra na lang. Pero gaya ng sabi ni monty_GTV, kung may maganda kang filter at 10,000kms ka magpapalit, better use delo 400. I assume kasi na since nagtatanong ka dito, malamang regular pms ka na every 5,000kms eh palit ka na rin ng engine oil kowya!

Medyo mahirap ngayon maghanap ng Delo 400 so the next good thing is Delo Gold Ultra

Kabibili ko lang ng galloon. Nasa 170-190/liter depende sa auto supply mo. Yung nakuha ko P180/liter near my place pero meron available na P170, mas malayo lang sa bahay ko.
