Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?

Sabihan kita sir I might order RP Filter for my Hyundai Santa Fe as soon as mahanap ko na yung tamang fit. So far ang stock ko lang ay pang rav4 Part# 10-267, Jazz 10-2840 and Sonata 10-28-76.



Anyone tried Mag 1 FMX oils? Any feedback?

Ang baba ng tbn. Kahit ano oil filter pa gamitin hangang 5,000kms lang.

Ang sikat ngayon sa bob is the oil guy forum yung fram ultra. The best sa filtration, construction and can go the distance. Yung royal purple oil filter ang selling point nya pang extended mileage pero filtration hindi ganun kaganda for the expensive price.

Kung tumatakbo kotse mo in a year 20,000kms sulit yung royal purple filter. Kasi kung 10,000km a year lang eh sayang dahil change oil and filter ka na. Mahirap kasi nakakabit oil filter for two years ng walang palitan. Sa america sanay sa mataas na mileage dahil interstate ang byahe kaya nasusulit nila yung synthetic filter naka 20,000kms wala pa one year.

Example

Pureone filter - not full synthetic glass media but efficient. Downside is cannot go the distance.

Fram ultra and royal purple extended- can go the distance but not as efficient as the pureone.

Dito sa pinas ang makakasulit lang for the expensive price eh taxi at mga delivery van.

Ako sa situation ko na low mileage every year eh doon ako sa more efficient/filtration filter. 7,000 kms lang takbo ko sa isang taon.

Yung mga oil filter pinapalagpas nyo ng 1 year? Lulutong gasket sa tagal at malaki probability magleak.

Cmiiw, high TBN ay hindi gaano need for gas specific oil, para sa mga diesel engine oil lang, panagupa sa high acidity created ng diesel combustion.

Pero mas maganda performance diesel oil pag gamit sa gasoline engine mas malinis makina. Mura pa price.

Sa tbn kasi na 6 or 7 ewan ko kung kaya paabutin ng 10,000 to 15,000kms.

Common na ang CI rating Castrol and even Petron trekker is Ci and have a 12.5 TBN.

Standard naman sir na 10k or 1 year ang mga motor oil.

Pero parang ang lapot ng oil na yan sir, susunod ko na gagamitin sir is 10W30 na valvoline ata yun from Canada, kaya lang 5 liters lang napadala sa akin, kulang pa ng 1 liter for VVTi hehehe...

mas maganda yung red label na ganito paps. 15W-40 siya, diesel oil na pwede din sa gas engine.

kapag naka subok ka na ng 15W-40 oil sa gas engine, masasabi mo sa sarili mo na hindi ka na babalik sa 20W-50, ang layo ng performance difference paps.

semi-synthetic lang ata ito.

Used it on my vios from 20k to 30k odo. Using Vic filter. Nung pina change oil ko sabi nung mekaniko malinis pa daw pede pa raw di palitan. Pero pinalitan ko na rin.
