Planning on getting an HID retrofit

19k for retrotech, 25k for Gary. Both stage 3.
Just to add, The other car that was being installed when I had my car done at HIDretrofit, was done well.
So maybe I was just assigned to a sloppy installer.

When did you get yours done? Seems like retrotech has dropped prices since I paid 20k for a stage 2 package only in 2015.

may maintenance bang kelangang gawin when you retroffited your headlights? i mean forever na ba yung projector, yung bulbs and ballast na lang ang papalitan?

also say biglang napundi yung one side eh nasa province ako where the availability of these things are close to zero, ano pwedeng gawin?

Branded HID bulbs usually have a 3000 hour service life. It also depends on how you use it. It doesn't like being flicked on and off as it needs about 30 seconds to be in full beam mode. I drive a lot at night time, so I already bought a spare HID bulb for emergency purposes.

For the ballast, many are claiming to be waterproof but generally they don't like getting soaked.

Projectors are rarely replaced.

I saw the ballast and bulbs in lazada from a local seller. Di naman kamahalan.

I guess if xenon concepts buy in bulk, sobra mas mura nila makukuha. Kaya mas may profit margin sila.

Ano kaya mga gamit nila hid retrofit?

Matagal ang buhay ng branded HID. Yung stock Osram Xenarc HID bulb ko is already 6 years old. Malakas pa rin ang ilaw. Pinalitan ko lang kasi gusto ko mag-try ng ibang series at color temp. I switched to Osram CBI Xenarc HID.

Ano po masuggest ninyo for cx7? I have medium tint. For me ang hina po kasi tlga ng output ng lo beam. Would i change to better halogen bulb or led bulb?

Yung projector, forever yan. It is just a housing part. Yung ballast, forever din unless masira. It is electrical part. Yung stock OEM ballast ko (Mitsubishi Electric) is already 6 years old. Still no problem.
