Saw xenon concept's work personally on a meet. Looks neat, wiring harness was properly done. Not sure about the output tho.

China din yung bulbs and ballast from Redline for their 20k stage 2 package. Q5 projectors. Pag stage 3 yung branded na bulbs and ballast.

Personally, nakakadiri tignan ang angel eyes kung hindi naman BMW ang kotse. Kasama na din dito yung flexibar or yung parang kilay. Masyado trying hard IMHO.

Pag mapundi pa, bubuksan uli ang housing para palitan.

Kaya what i got is just a basic retrofit. No fuzz basta malakas na ilaw lang.

China din daw source nila. Yung stage 3 projectors nila yung malaki talaga. Nilalakihan na nila butas ng housing para mamount yung projectors.

We'll know kung okay ang quality in the coming days and weeks. May 1 year warranty naman daw eh.

I definitely agree. BMW lang bagay may angel eyes.

I thought they used Koito Q5 projectors? Tapos NHK ballasts and bulbs ba?

The bulbs are nhk. Sa projector, i think those are koito. Receipt is koito q5 daw.

The wiring harness is braided and has nhk markings on it.

The ballast, im not sure. Will check later.

NHK bulbs and connectors, brandless 9-32v 35w OEM spec ballasts, Koito Q5 projectors gamit ni Xenon Concepts.

They use Koito Q5 replicas made by NHK. Quality is at par with the real thing, you can check youtube for comparison videos.

I think i know the difference between hid retrofit vs that od xenon concepts.

Assuming they use the same projectors, the difference is the bulb. Based on hid's facebook, they use only philips bulbs. Xenon concepts use generic nhk bulbs.

If xenon concepts use philips, the price will be plus 3.5k.

Pag stage 3, Philips. But stage 2 like the one I have also uses generic bulbs lang.

I still don't see why it costs twice as much.

Ah ganun? I was reading the FAQ in their website. Philips 85122+ or 85122 daw sa mga retrofits. And use only upto 5000k color temp.

Eto pala yung breakdown ng parts from xenon concepts.

    NHK projector Q5
    NHK harness
    Hi-Arc ballast
    Hi-Arc bulb

I saw the ballast and bulbs in lazada from a local seller. Di naman kamahalan.

I guess if xenon concepts buy in bulk, sobra mas mura nila makukuha. Kaya mas may profit margin sila.

Ano kaya mga gamit nila hid retrofit?

Yup. Had my Mazda 3 retrofitted there. Ok naman gawa. Pricey though at 20k for stage 2 retrofit.

Xenon Concepts at 10k for the same materials and quality of work is much better value.

Although I recommended Xenon Concepts for a friend due to budgets constraints, parang pakiramdam ko iba parin gawa nila GaryQ/Retrotech.

Yung kay Xenon kasi naka 2 backjobs na kami due to moisture inside the headlights. And pakiramdam ko "mas cleaner" yung bato ng ilaw nila GaryQ/Retrotech.

    Just my 2 cents

Had my 11th gen corolla retrofitted by redline. Quad projectors and the fog lamps were replaced with projectors too. I think reasonable and price niya given the warranty that he offers. On the 2nd year, busted yung isang projector and he replaced it still at no cost. Tots also noticed mahina na buga ng fogs ko (which I really did not notice) and he replaced that at no cost too.

Hmmm.... ano kaya ang first hand experience ni walter kay garyq.

I know of a few people who had their retrofit at gary's place. Wala maman reklamo.

I had mine done sa xenon concepts. Leap of faith but i think, so far worth the jump

Had a Stage 2 kit from HIDRetrofits installed on a Tucson way back in 2013. No issues to date. I have to agree that they were expensive (paid something like 22-24k) but I concede that the work done was top notch. They were a class of their own back then.

But it's already 2017. After four years, you'd think they've figured out how to streamline the process so it will cost less. Or maybe optimize their supply chain so they still get the same quality parts at a lower cost. But apparently, they decided to keep their prices pretty much the same throughout the past years.

mine was also done at HIDRetrofits way back in 2014 on my TBZ. but one out of the five DRL was already busted (left side HID assembly)... saka ko na lang papapalitan pag may mahabang idle time and will try the other recommended shop dito. am expecting that the cost would be much cheaper now... (paid around 35K before).
