Based on what I've read (and my wallet) I'm really attracted to Microtex products. Since my primary concern really is with protection and durability, it seems that Nanosil is best for my purposes (hand applied though.. But i read that it is still okay if applied that way). Now my question is, can I layer Nanogloss over it? or will it strip off the Nanosil layer? ALso, as for QDs, Nanosliq should be okay to use on top of them right?

    Thanks!
Hmmm... I haven't used them together, so I can't really say anything from experience. NanoGloss's cleaners are pretty mild, so I would guess that it'd be ok to layer - just be gentle in the application of NanoGloss :D Yes, NanoSliq will be fine as a QD.

I'm here at BB Ortigas for NCPP. Lapit na ring matapos. Ask ko lang, alin mas okay pang top na wax. Microtex Nanoglos or EO Nanowax spray? Meron din pala ako Nanosliq.

Mga sir, ano mas ok between mothers fx spray wax at reflections spray wax? Mas mura kasi at mas madami compared to EO and Megs spray waxes eh.

Also, any feedback on mothers synthetic wax at 3M performance finish? gusto ko talaga itry collinite 845 (pagod na sa 476s) kaso i'm thinking of saving on shipping cost at settle na lang dun sa nabanggit ko. I'm really after slickness at durability kasi tamad na ko magwax. Spray na lang ako lagi every week.

I have tried straight Microtex products, starting from their shampoo to Nanosil, Nanogloss and Nanosliq and they are great. The Nanosil is the hardest to apply coz I only applied it by hand and I had to really give an elbow grease to break down the crystals for it to stick to the paint. Really tiring. The way I understood it, you can apply Nanogloss right after applying Nanosil but Nanogloss has a curing time of 8 hrs before you want to put another product over it and that means, you have to wait for 8 hrs before you could apply Nanosliq. You could also try 4 hrs but I believe the longer the better. If it's dusty after 8 hrs, just dust it by using the Microtex Car Duster before applying Nanosliq. If it gets really dirty, you have no choice but to shampoo it again.

I have tried Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax after washing with Meguiar's Gold Class car wash, and it turned out nice. Unfortunately, it rained very hard after a few hours that day and the shine that I saw was short lived. The car was very dirty again the next day and I got lazy so I just washed it with Meguiar's NXT shampoo (for some reason, I prefer this over the Gold Class and Mothers Gold Class car wash).

I have here a 3M Performance Finish but I haven't tried it yet due to our very erratic weather. I will let you know how it will turn out but I think my cars need to be clayed already to really see how good it is but I don't have time yet to fully detail them.

Next, I will try Optimum products, especially the OCWax and that Collinite 845 once I have consumed my bottles and the weather gets better. The Dodo Juice is good also but they are too damn expensive.

FX for lighter colored cars, Reflections for darker ones.

If you're having difficulty with 476, you might be applying it too thickly - when I apply a wax or sealant, I do so really, really thinly, such that there's almost nothing to see on the paint.

I've read fairly good feedback for both with regards to durability - not Collinite level, but reasonable enough. I'd probably choose the Mothers California Gold Synthetic Wax, because I've seen some pretty impressive results with regards to looks.

I like Meguiar's UQW too, my spray top up of choice for sealants, but I have to agree, sobra talaga ang patong ng Megs PH - I bought mine in the US for less than 10 dollars.

*air23: Yes sir, it's really pricey especially once you know how it is priced in the US, you'll really feel the pain.hehe That's why me, whenever there's a relative visiting here, I'll just ask them a favor to buy those for me. But if I am already running out, either just bite the bullet or buy Microtex products.

*umi001: What I like too with UQW is the smell. It's smells so good, like cherry. That's also what I like with Meg's NXT wash, for me, it smells better as compared to the Gold Class and Ultimate Wash & Wax.

Sir, the proper way is to shampoo and if you feel that the paint has rough surfaces, clay it. But if you just want to wax, for the reason is just because you want to wax, make your car look slick and shiny and protected, shampoo, Nanosil, Nanogloss and end it with Nanosliq. Nanosil is like a sealer or filler that would hide some of the swirls and could also serve as a polisher. That is why this is the hardest to apply especially if it's done by hand since you really need to rub it to break the crystals for it to stick to the paint. After that is the Nanogloss which is the wax itself. The last is the Nanosliq which is the quick detailer. But they said that Nanogloss has a curing time of 8 hrs before you could put another product on top of it. So in case you wanna put a double layer wax, regardless if it's a different wax or Nanogloss, you have to wait for 8 hrs before you could apply. Now this part is I am not really certain as to whether or not to wait or not to wait for 8 hrs prior to application of Nanosliq but for me, I wait for 8 hrs before applying it. If after 8 hrs the car gets dusty, I will just dust it with the Microtex car duster then spray with Nanosliq. But if it rains and it gets really dirty, no choice but to wash it again with shampoo but since the Nanogloss (wax) is already on or cured on the paint, I will not do all of those all over but just spray it with Nanosliq instead.

However, I noticed that they don't really last very long especially with our weather today wherein once it rains, rest assured that your just shampooed, just waxed car will look like it has never been cleaned once you get home. Probably after 3 or 4 washes, you could see that it's almost gone and you have to do all of those all over again.
