Sir roelrpt...dont fret it. A QD is your best friend for touching up especially if dusty lang yung sasakyan and you want to do a quick wipedown. I stumbled on this link a few weeks back and if what they claim is true, then this is a QD worth having. I actually bought 1 bottle just to test it out. Pag ok ito, this will be perfect once the rainy season sets in.

try Optimum Car Wax as a quick detailer, kung alaga sa hugas at wax ang sasakyan mo ay maganda ang OCW. madaliang spray ng QD at punas, makintab na ulit...

I just got a bottle from Roadstar here in Global City myself - it'll be interesting to see how well it does against some other spray waxes/sealants I have (OCW, DGAW, UQW, XMT 360, the old BF spray sealant, Mothers Reflections, and V7 - too bad I still haven't gotten my order of Gtechniq C1.5 and BF Polymer Spray shipped).

Ako rin sir umi...quite curious. Currently have OCW, PSLS, FK100 and if this one turns out to be durable than these, then jackpot. How much price nya sir sa roadstar?

Php 915 - a little more expensive than the price from the US, but not unreasonably so. I wonder if it'll be durable enough to go against the WOWA sealants - that's a thought, might also test it against Opti-Seal (v1), BF CS and UPGP,

Mga sir tanong ulit. Wash>megs polish>nanosil>476>nanoglos>nanosliq. Tama po ba ito? Will this work po? Confused po ako... Inputs are highly appreciated.

Sometime I wonder if people are intentionally making their life harder than it is.

Anyway, tama naman. Although I'd personally have the 476 as the LSP and the occasional Nanosliq spray-wax covering it. Nanoglos is redundant IMO.

    Like!

Most of the time, all you need is a simple wash and UQD.
As long as you faithfully do claying, polishing, applying compound once in a while, it'll protect your paint.

Wala naman sigurong nag o off-road araw araw noh?

Yes. Maybe not all but some portion of it.

It also depends on how aggressive the detailing clay is. All clay bars are not created equal

While I agree...can't blame people for being so. With all the products out there and recommendations, a newbie into detailing will surely take time to really understand that it's not using what everyone is using, but to use what works best for you. Unfortunately, most of the time, you have to go through all these questions and unnecessary purchases to have a full grasp of things.

I for one am guilty of this. But heck, it gives me joy and I am learning from it

    Hello All,

Not really planning to buy a DA soon but saw this on sale for only USD 115 (free shipping at that) in Amazon. For those who bought this unit, it doesn't come with a backing plate right? If so, I'm looking at buying an Astro Pneumatic 5" Backing Plate and the below pads together with the solutions I plan to use it with...

Chemical Guys BUFX Hex-Logic Orange 5.5" 2 pcs (to remove swirls...use with Meg UC)
Chemical Guys BUFX Hex-Logic Orange 5.5" 2 pcs (for polishing...use with Meg UP and/ or Werkstat Prime Strong)

I plan to forego getting a finishing pad as I will top off the above steps with a Werkstat Jett Trigger and OCW.

Am I missing something with the above list?

Is there a reason as well that I should consider getting a 6" backing plate?

Thanks in advance for the response guys.

    Regards,
    Dino

Get more pads - three to four of each. Not too familiar with the Hex-Logic line, would think that flat pads are preferable. I'd still orange pads for compounding, but white pads for polishing. Also, no need for a 6" backing plate - you don't really want to use pads larger than 5.5" with a normal DA.

Good pm po, question lang po. I had my car repainted sa casa because of a bump but i noticed that it's a bit yellowish compared to the original although di naman ganun kahalata at first glance. It is a white pearl corolla. Kaya po ba makuha ng exterior detailing to bring out the real color of the panel painted? Or kelangan talaga ibalik sa casa? Para kasing malapit naman yung color kaso yellowish talaga e don't know kung hangang dun lang talaga kaya pag white pearl.
