I will not suggest using clay for asphalt and bugs. In fact, san ka ba nakakuha ng bug marks? Those are infrequent sa Metro Manila but should be rather common if you're doing provincial trips.

For asphalt, use kerosene to soften them and just remove them using water (use your fingernails or a terry if needed).

Truthfully, I will not recommend purchasing a clay bar. I personally find it more attractive to simply let a detailing shop do your claying even if you consider the "patong" they do.

    Why?
    - You'll run out of QD as lubrication unless you have a lot of them. I'd say after 2-3 applications, ubos na probably QD mo.
    - One mistake and you're out. Dropped the clay? That's good as throwing it out na.
    - You only clay like every quarter. In fact, I only clay once or twice a year.

I use optimum no rinse o ONR diluted sa water mas tipid.

    How to use detailing clay
Fold and refold the clay bar often. When the clay appears dirty, fold it until you see clean clay. It's safe to keep using the same clay bar until it has no clean surface area left.
since mejo matagal siya hindi magagamit, ganito pala tamang pagstore..
Store the clay bar in its original case if possible, or in an airtight plastic bag. Spray it with lubricant to keep it moist. Do not allow the clay to freeze and do not store it in temperatures above 200° F.

it depends kung ano objective mo. if you just want to clean and protect the paint, then wash & wax pwede na. but if show car finish ang main goal mo, you need to remove the swirls. i use Meg Ultimate Polish. it is based on Meg 205 but with less polish and more glaze.

kerosene is available in most gas stations. you can apply it before washing the car.

KAIO will make the swirls less noticeable but will not remove them. you can use KAIO habang wala ka pang polishing product or if kaunti pa lang naman ang swirls.. just hide it.

Yeah, no problem naman. I usually tell people to "accumulate" their scratches first para isang polish job lang kilangan mo. Doing paint correction every quarter of the year is kinda overkill. If you're just in for the protection, just layering your wax is enough na. But if you want a car that shines every time you clean it, it's time to remove those imperfections out.

Sa kerosene, you can buy these sa mga gas stations. Just ask for their pricing per liter (unless you plan on buying bulk). Kung wala yun Shell, ask around.. some gas stations have them. Impossible wala.. kerosene is kinda an essential petroleum distillate really.

Kung wala ka kerosene, then use a WD40. You're bound to have one of those sa bahay (useful for overall lubrication really). Just spray, let it stay a while, and rinse it with water THEN you wash your car. So yes, it's okay.

Maybe try nanoskin speedy prep sponge as an alternative to clay. Haven't tried it but read good reviews abt it.

This might have been answered before. Where do you guys buy your klasse twins? I saw a seller in olx fr manila once pero wala na ngayon.

got some of my detailing items from ginnova too like polising pads and ONR...

I have not use kerosene yet medyo adamant ako na gamitin pero ok daw pantanggal ng asphalt. I am using a degreaser instead from DIY shop on my paint surface prior to washing especially kung gusto ko I-stripped yung sealant o wax na dating nakalagay. I used it in my engine, wheel wells and rims and tanggal lahat ng grimes.

you can buy naman yung klasse in any of the olx sellers but most likely they will sell the pair of KAIO and KSG. just buy the 8oz container, it will last for a very long time especially the KSG. got mine for more than 2 years now di pa rin nakalahati yung KSG

btw, I only do polishing and complete paint correction every 6 months or more. di na ako tamang OC kasi nakakatamad at nakakapagod din there will come a time you will grow over your itch sa pag-detail. as long as I have it applied with sealant or wax I know protected na yung paint. mostly naman ng swirls at minor scratches nakukuha sa washing. if you are fond of those car wash shops sa mga gilid ng daan then most likely candidate yung car mo sa swirls i'd rather wash my cars or if nasa abroad ako its my wife duty to do it lols! as long as you know the proper washing and drying then ma-minimize mo naman yung swirls. enjoy detailing guys...

I remember using kerosene based carwax on my first car after having it repainted in the early 90's. It faded the acrylic paint. Nowadays, I just use WD40. Spray, wipe off then use car shampoo to remove residue.

Hello mga sir, any feedback about Sonax Xtreme Paste Wax Full Protect 1? Bought one in Singapore. Is it an LSP? Or Sealant?

Also, I have Collinite 476, Nano Fil, and Nano Sil.

Just had paint protected my car in BB 2 weeks ago. Do I need to clay it before starting my own DIY regimen

Can I use this regimen: Wash > Fil > Sil > Sonax Xtreme > Collinite

Also, curing time between Fil > Sil > Sonax Xtreme > Collinite

Thank you in advance mga sir. Your advices will be much appreciated
