spray mo konti ng qd o water yung applicator pad, just enough na damp siya. wala naman teknik, just apply ksg very thin lang else mahirapan mo i buff kpag makapal.read mo sa autogeek instruction or sa likod ng container...

Ksg is an acrylic sealant. You dont want that on a qd spray bottle.

mga sir gusto ko pong matuto ng detailing for basic protection ng paint at the same time pogi looks. nag backread po ako bandang 525 page up to last page. bale ganito po natutunan ko wash-clay-wax-sealant. meron po bang may nakagawa na ng flow chart na andun na rin po yung details ng gagawin ex. mga brand na gagamitin, like waiting time etc.

you should have instead read the 1st 5 pages of this thread, that's the best part ;)

it should be wash&dry > clay > polish > sealant or wax.

you may want to read further,

Mula noon hanggang ngayon, same process flow pa rin naman ang detailing. Ang dami ng guides online, meron pang YouTube videos. Dito nga sa tsikot, 2 pa threads for this, "Tamang OC lang" at "Detailing Thread [For Newbies]". Ewan na lang if hindi ka pa matuto nyan.

Hello, need help, I'm a confused sa mga buffing/polishing pad classifications, which of these should be used in what kind of pads? I'm planning to buy Microtex pads, I don't know if these are good items coz I find Meguiars a bit expensive.

    - Scratch Remover
    - Rubbing Compound (Heavy Scratches)
    - Polishing Compound (Light scratches / Swirls)
    - Cleaner / Polish
    - Glaze
    - Sealants
    - Waxes
    - Buffing (pan-tanggal ng wax etc) or hand/microfiber towels nalang gagamitin sa ganito?

    1. CUTTING PADS - ???

    2. POLISHING PADS - ???

    3. FINISHING PADS - ???

    4. WOOL PADS - ???

    Thank you.

    1. CUTTING PADS - This is an aggressive pad and meant to remove heavy paint defects like heavy swirls, RDS, etc. You can use these products w/ this pad- Rubbing Compound

    2. POLISHING PADS - This is a mild pad meant to remove light swirls and enhance shine of paint. These are the products you can use w/ this pad- Polishing Compound, Cleaner / Polish.

    3. FINISHING PADS - This pad has NO cut, meaning meant for refining finishes w/soft paint. or wax or sealant application. These are the products you can use with this pad.- Polishing Compound (If you want need a little cut, and want to finish in one step). Cleaner / Polish, wax, sealants, Glaze (depending on the brand, some will be better applied by hand).

    4. WOOL PADS - Most aggressive pads, can be used with Heavy rubbing compound.

    Thank you.

I haven't tried Microtex pads, so I can't comment on how effect or durable these pads are.
I am also assuming you will be using a machine polisher for these pads, am I right?

Thank you sor much for the info sir.

Yes, I'm gonna use a DIY velcro stripped Black & Decker KP600 DA Polisher. Nangangalay nako kka manual detailing session eh hehe. Though I don't intend to use this for heavy fixing of paint defects. Siguro polishing compound at most (light/swirl removal). I guess I could use a Cutting pad to compensate for this? Since mahina lang ang DA polisher. Natatakot kasi ako mag Rotary baka masira ko lalo yung paint.

Actually this will depend sa pad, my cutting pad na kahit polish lang ang gamit mo ay hindi gano refined ang finish, meron pad na kahit cutting compound ang gamit mo, parang ready for wax ka na. So this will depend on the pad & polish combination mo.
Yung DA polisher mo sir, kaya mo idiin ng konti without stopping the rotation of the pad? If mag rotate yung backing plate with pressure then kaya na ng DA polisher mo with mild polishing.

"Almost" 1000 new cars are sold every day sa bansa natin. Cant blame new car owners/forum members to back read every page of the forum.

Its good that you and sir Kitoy are handling these noobs on a daily.

Good times to be in business of automotive after sales market. Lalo na si sir kix? And lamson? And the other unheard names here in the forum.

    Just a thought.

Hi! After reading again about kaio, ksg and collinite...parang mali ata ang ginagawa kong step by step process.

tama na ba itong sequence na ito?

    wash
    dry
    clay
    kaio
    polish (rubbing compound/swirl remover)
    ksg
    collinite 875
    QD (for maintenance)

also any recommendation for glass cleaner/water spot remover?

tama naman steps mo, redundant lang yung kaio at polish. yung kaio ay pwedeng polish/swirl remover na ;)

parang walang collinite 875, malamang 845 insulator wax yan...

Ay uu nga 845 siya. Sorry I was talking about rubbing compound and such but yeah I guess KAIO will be enough. Actually planning to switching 845 for Meguiars white wax kapag nakakita ako.
