My cousin has Neovas on his SiR. For a ride, I'm sure he'll be willing to loan them for an afternoon.

Twitchiness of the rear is often due to a number of factors.. weight balance, suspension stiffness and suspension geometry. The weight balance is hard to answer, since it's mid-engined, but suspension is easier... a small tweak of the rear camber and spring rates (if it uses two sets of front Civic suspensions, as I suspect, finding different rate springs will be ridiculously easy...) should make it handle more benignly.

Of course, it would also be nice to get an Integra half-cut for such a project... it has a better steering rack, and you can use the LSD at the rear to further improve dynamics. *yes, yes... I know... LSD = more oversteer... but it's of the fun variety...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

there is also another sports car project that was posted in pinoyboats.org

    http://pinoyboats.org/forum/viewtopi...istics&start=0
(I already posted this here some time ago)

it was also made from fiberglass. but I don't know what happened to this project as the thread wasn't continued. the last words from the owner said he would put an LS1 engine, that's about 350HP yata (if I'm not mistaken)

drag race. straight. wala nang handle-handle pa.

pero kung mag time-attack kayo sa BRC, baka nga maging issue yung handling.

That depends on how long with the drag race be. The BAR car has tail wag issues so it has to launch a little softer for the first ten to twenty meters to avoid too much wheel spin and tail wag.

It will be an issue, believe me.

I am concerned if the BAR car chassis is really not as "straight" as it could be. Any offset might have resulted in the tail wagging manners of the car.

dapat sana computerized ang aignment ng chassis para no frills. then we could tune the suspension to improve handling. then the brakes, etc..

    That's a neat looking car!

After all the handling issues are fixed, maybe you can have it supercharged.

A turbo would be better but a K20 engine would be much better.

A few pages back, kita mo talaga human nature ng ilang mga pinoy.

    crab mentality. hahaha!

BS, your car construction is logical. Good idea on the integrated rollcage. I know there must be some limitations why the car is not as wide as it should be. It looks narrow at the back (or is it the camera parallax error?). Looks and sounds fast though. Good luck on the future iterations of this model. This one looks neat already. You have made it into a working prototype so that alone is a huge success. Cheers!

If I'm not mistaken the Atom Ariel Supercharged B16A version puts out 300bhp. How much would it make if it's a turbo or a sequential turbo?

You could probably do the same and even develop more power because of less parasitic losses due to the supercharger. And cost less too (because superchargers are hugely expensive).

The only advantage of a supercharger is the more linear increase of power from the engine as compared to a typical turbo. But even a turbocharger can deliver linear increase of power if it's tuned well.

Horsepower to Peso spent, I think a 300bhp B16A supercharged engine would be vastly more expensive than a K20 turbocharged engine tuned to the same output.
