no, it's not. if i'm not mistaken, its made in germany, the technology is very similar to v-cool, but the difference is, it has a darker shade. and way cheaper than v-cool also. try mo tanong sa banawe if they have it.

just dont get the 3m na super dark na tinatawag dahil sobrang dilim nun kapag gabi at walang maliwanag na ilaw sa labas zero visibility ka talaga!

Here's a deterrent to any possibility of having your spare tires stolen. It's an OEM tirelock made by SOLEX.


Also had a back-up sensor installed with distance display (in inches). The display has been stuck to the top of the rear window.

Got it at Toyota Bicutan. The 4 sensor model with display function cost P7T. The Fortuner can only fit 2 sensors at the rear bumper due to the 2 circular reflectors near the corner. I asked them if they can discount the cost of the 2 unused sensors. They gave it to me for P6.3T.

It's a good thing to have electronic stuff installed at the dealership. Would you believe, an initial error in the installation caused a loss of power to the aircon and power windows. They had to trace the cause and replace the blown fuses. They fixed everything... Sagot nila lahat ng replacement and labor cost. If ever that something else happens balik lang daw ako... They even gave me a complimentary 3M chamois for my trouble.

Got it also from Toyota Bicutan... It comes with a heavy duty bracket that is bolted-on to the rear portion of the Fortuner's ladder frame. Costs around P2.7T.

thanks po sa info, kala ko solo akong nakaencounter ng ganitong problem, pa-check ko na lang po sa casa, pinapa-observe muna sa kin, nkakapagtaka lang kasi pag kinakapos n ung makina then u pump acc. pedal bumabalik sa normal ung menor, tapos un pag ginamit ko na then i started the engine again ok na sya, anyway at least nagka-idea ako sa problem, many thanks : )

This is COOL!!!! Specially the sensors. Kaso lang I wonder why hindi kaya 4 sensors e may nakita akong fortuner, in fact two fortuners with 4 sensors na.

One ay nakalagay sa middle ng bumper. The other one naman ay sa lower part ng rear bumper - dun sa mga portrude indent part sa lower part.

I forgot the brand... The control unit has been fixed inside the plastic wall where the jack is stowed, so I can't really check the brand anymore. The manual is kinda generic, as well. I guess you can just print the picture and show it to your dealership of choice.

Pangit lagyan ng sensors yung indentations beneath the rear bumper. Especially, if you plan to dress up your unit TRD style, with some skirts.

Agent called a while ago. Meron na akong unit, 4x4 diesel. Ang "downside" black ang kulay. Nothing against the color itself, its the maintenance I am worried about. Since he cant give a guarantee when I can get a dark grey, I took it.

Will add body cladding, leather seats, window visors, DVD, full windshield tint (3M cs panther 35) and muffler cutter(?).

Hindi ba masyadong dark yung 3M tint?

congrats! may bago na naman akong kaiiingitan. maganda naman ang black, high maintenance lang. ingat ka rin sa paglinis at baka magka-swirl marks. can you also ask your dealer kung ilan ang dumating sa kanila na 2.5 d4d. thanks.

Huhuhu... We are going to reserve by next year pa. Both banks who's manager are close to me parents said why line up? the stocks wll come in by next year unless Toyota dont want to sell. I cant wait anymore but then again patience is a virtue. :-)

On the other hand, an agent told me the reason why Toyota is slowly importing/making available the fortuner is a business strategy because they will kill their own Innova and RAV4 market.

For the meantime, gonna ask my friend in Singapore to check out the original sonar if there is one for fortuner and how much. para orig mga buttons sa loob. hehehe.

My agent in one of the toyota dealer called me up this morning saying that they have a unit available for me. She told me that the previous owner let go of it since its visa has been approved already. The downside is, it's in leather seat, IHF and IIF :=(. I don't have a reservation with this agent but all of a sudden she called me, I have a reservation in Toyota Bicutan but my agent there doesn't even bother to update me of what is happening, i have made my reservation their since last june. Anyways, i will visit toyota shaw now and we will check the deal. My wife doesn't want to bite the IHF and IIF, let's see if we could get a better deal then we decide. BTW it's 2.7G Black.

I saw in the Manila Bulletin Classifieds, two different ads selling the Fortuner "V" 4x4 for the same price of Php 1.790M (one of them comes inclusive of insurance, LTO, matting, seatcover and 3M tint).

Another ad, besides the other two previously mentioned, is selling the Fortuner "V" at Php 1.950M. It is said to be in black with leather seats, LTO+co???

Looks like good deal but ODO reading of the said Fortuner 500 already and ill be the 2nd owner na

We will be welcoming the new member of our family next week. 2.7G Black Fortuner. We have closed the deal a while ago. We can get the new member of the family Monday or Tuesday next week. They are going to put the tint tomorrow and apply the rust proof. Can't sleep, after the waiting for so long. Although we have to bite the bullet and get the IHF and In-house insurance just to beat the price increase and E-VAT. Leather seat was also installed. Anyways, the deal is not that bad so we get it. Thanks for the nice reviews that I get from this thread, it really help during the decision making.
