I guess the reason why pakonti konti and pasok ng 2.7 here in the Philippines is because as I check the other countries with Fortuner, the 2.7 is actually their TOP OF THE LINE model! =)) so the demand is quite high.

one of the reasone na konti ang fortuner 2.7 gas eh para hindi mawala yung market ng top of the line na Innova G ... for 200K price difference, some people will switch to fortuner.. actually, nagkaroon ng oversupply ng Innova G ng lumabas ang fortuner hehe

My dealer said they dont have this type, just the roof/ceiling mounted DVD player. Which dealer offers this?

I saw this in Autosport MegaMall. I didn't get it cuz the user interface was somewhat clumsy. You have to use that tiny cursor to work the menu. Waiting for the next generation of touch-screens by Alpine.

talked to my agent this morning. sabi niya baka di ko pa raw makuha unit ko this month. may mga lumipat kasi sa pila from gas to 4x2 d4d. bwisit talaga.

Has anyone tried installing an ipod in their fortuner without using an itrip? As in direct installation with a cable using the stock radio. Possible ba ito?

No, you have to change the head unit. The stock head unit (Fujitsu) doesn't have an aux-in.

Finally! My friend will pick up his unit this friday. It's a 2.7g variant. I made the deposit last May 14 pa so mga 5 months ang waiting time. Ang maganda nito is walang forced IHF and walang add-ons, leather seats lang kasi yun naman gusto nya. I'm happy for him kasi sa akin yung unit dapat(I opted for another car, he gave me back my deposit... sobrang tagal eh.)

Same as a friend's also. 2.7G Black, no other rackets, just leather seats. They got it from Commonwealth.

The ones Toyota are charging for are quite overpriced. Why not take it directly to the place where they have it done and cut out the costly middlemen (Toyota dealers)?

I believe it was from late May to Sept. They have some kind of connection inside, that's why.

As previously mention by sir Vic, 60K is the same price Toyota dealers give to the unfortunate customers for the full-leather. This is a pre-agreed price the dealers and Kel-Seats. BTW, went to Kel-Seats in Las Pinas yesterday. Counted around 50 units of Fortuners in the factory and property across the street.
