question pala about painting, di kasi ako maka start ng thread kasi bago palang di ko rin alam pano magsearch dito sa tsikot, change color sana ako from emerald orange( original color vios gen 1.0) to shade of white(not sure yet) and casa kasi wala ako alam sa ibang paint shops, magkano expect ko babayaran? and quality like painting sa engine bay, back compartment, sa mga hindi kita at kita, okay naman kaya?

Mga boss, mga magkano yung pinakamura na pwede magastos kapag lalagyan ng aux in capability yung Gen 2.5 na vios? Pwede ba lagyan ng aux port yung stock HU? or palit HU na? Ayaw kasi palitan ng erapt ko kasi gumagana naman daw kaso sawang sawa na ako sa kakaburn ng CD haha. Wala rin ako mahanap na FM transmitter kaya ayun gusto ko pagipunan yung magagastos para dito. Siomai Rice muna ng ilang linggo...

EDIT: E variant pala yung ginagamit ko at college kid pa lang ako hehe...

I suggest to replace the HU kahit yung 1-din (around 3.5k to 5k depending on brand) lang with Aux and USB support na. But take note that you will also need to shell out for stereo panel (worth 1.5k to 2k).

Guys parecommend ng head unit ng vios gen 1.0 also speakers narin and magkano kaya?(budget,performance and durability wise) college palang po kasi ako. basag kasi speakers sa right side and yung head unit stock , ginagasgas pa cds na pinapasok

As i suggested in my other post, you can opt for 1-din stereo. Ang maganda lang sa 1st Gen, no need to replace the stereo panel since hindi naman integrated yung stock HU.

Tumitingin din ako ng speakers for my 3rd gen. Yung pioneer brand na nakita ko, 1.2k lang.

Bring it to a reputable shop na lang rather than sa casa. Sa casa kasi, dadalhin lang nila yang auto mo sa third party shop nila and mostly tinitipid nila yung materyales kaya in the end hindi rin tumatagal or hindi durable yung bagong paint. HTH

show him what the new unit can do. i-demo mo yung aux plug sa home radio ninyo.... "dad, lookit what this little thingee can do, at almost no cost... it has xxx songs in its memory, and i can easily triple it at no financial cost whatsoever... so unlike the old CD that costs... per disc..."

Well, last time kasi na brining up ko yung ayaw niya kasi gumagana pa naman daw. Btw, sa AM radio lang nakikinig dad ko...wala siya pakialam sa iba haha. He doesn't listen to music, news lang lagi and if ever na music gusto niya may AM station na nagpapatugtog ng favorite old songs niya. Anyways, di ko pa na discuss sa kanya yung possibility na palitan pero ako gagastos from my savings sa baon. Just looking for ideas here. Pero, gagawin ko yan baka gumana (he's no techie rin kasi).

Bro may benta cdrking na para sa mga walang aux na sasakyan. 1k lang ata. Kahit ikaw na ang magshoulder nun. Although ubusan ata sa cdrking. You can try it sa mga shops ng malls. Yung usually magkakatabi na shops ng electronics

I've been to several cd-r king branches na pero puro wala stock FM transmitter ba yan bro or ibang gadget tinutukoy mo?

1 din is yung walang screen right? then yung current na nakainstall sa vios namin is 2 din?? If ever na yan yung gagawin, 100% sure ako sa casa lang papayag dad ko na gawin yan haha. Sobrang daming fm transmitter sa cdrking last time i checked ah.. kabit sa cigarette port to power that device. Tapos may aux na for phone. Yan ginawa ko sa isang sasakyan namin na 90's pa because i have the same thinking with your dad. Nanghihinayang ako gumastos ng HU dahil ok na ok pa naman

Btw. May usb pa yun. So pwede usb pwede aux. Tsaka wala pa atang 1k sa cdrking. Sa mga mall shops mas mahal konti

Does it work with the Vios? This is quite interesting, I'm thinking of getting one for my Altis. Does it also display the song name on the LCD?

Lastly, do you know what branches of CDR King carry this? Thanks!

Nope it doesnt display the song name on the screen. It shows a default label or brand of the bluetooth transmitter or something but its really worthit! You could use it on other radio provided that it has usb slot. Its quite rare nga sir but bought 2 at glorietta branch near golds gym. Even the sales lady are quite surprise on what it can do kasi nakita ko lang sya sa website. Check the nearest branch and hinanap ko lang sya sa mga display. Ask the sales lady if i could try it. They told me that they dont have the means to check. Sabi ko just put it on the usb radio at your side and i connected my phone. Ayun it started playing naman.

Thanks *ninjababez for the BT transmitter! Works on both my cars, but as Synth007 said, it doesn't display the song name. I think I'll stick with cables for my Altis and leave the BT transmitter with my Mazda (which doesn't display song titles anyway).
