hingi ako ng advice regarding sa revo diesel engine.
recently nasira na yun diesel engine nabutas yun engine block.
now nag hahanap ako ng pampalit sa blumentritt. kaso puro may efi turbo yun available.
is it ok to install 2L engine with efi turbo sa revo?

Good nagbabasa lang po ng mga trends.
Gusto ko lang itanong kung nasaan ba yung fuel filter ng Revo SR 1RZE engine? Second hand lang yung sa akin at 7 years ko nang gamit. Hindi ko rin alam kung okay pa ang fuel filter, athough regular ang palit ko ng spark plugs & other oils. Yung air filter nya ay washable at wala naman akong nakikitang sira sa kanya.

DexronIII is the minimum requirement..typeIV is the better replacement because dexronIII is an old formulation

February 14th, 2018 10:21 AM #1228Haven't done this personally though I don't see why not. I remember seeing Revo's for sale through the years at the former Sulit.com with 2L-TE's. There was even one with a 4D56 TDIC, and another with a 1KZ even. Engine swaps are kinda hit and miss though. Some may not be in good condition.

thanks for the reply.
ang hirap mag decide kasi medyo mahal din makina.
non turbo cost around 75k
w/ turbo is 85k
sabi kasi wag daw with efi turbo kasi this is controlled by a computer box. some say ok lang kasi na convert naman na ang fuel injector to mechanical type.
reason why i ask if ok ang turbo. kasi puro may turbo binebenta sa blumentritt. mas malakas daw at tipid sa consumo..
how will i be able to check the engine to determine if ok pa or not?

February 14th, 2018 11:04 AM #1230Ang kupad ng 2L. If I were you, I'd definitely get the turbo para upgrade na rin. I forgot whether it was the 2L-T (better option kung ayaw ng EFI) or 2L-TE that has turbo (overboost ata?) problems, though there are many forums where you can read about it. I'm not a mechanic but AFAIK you can start up the engine and then check for blowby (my friend's Surf had that) and turbo problems (that too).
