    i am a liteace owner din binili ko last april 2009 lng, i dnt know exactly the model/year basta im sure it's GXL. now i have the some problems noticed in my one month driving, first nangangamoy ng gas sa loob especially if open ang window, then maximum speed of only 80km/h and lastly lack of power. even after i change oil and oil filter, fuel filter, air cleaner etc ganun pa rin. then a local mechanic checked the carburetor and found out the secondary (i dont know what was it about) stock up daw. pero kahit after noon the same pa rin ang observation ko or kung meron man kunting pagbabago lng. not after mapansin nya na ang something like "advancer" daw na hose hindi nakakabit sa tamang lalagyan. kaya after noong macorrect na, changes were; 1. nawala ang pangangamoy ng gas sa loob. 2. maximum speed now is umaabot na ng 125km/h. aside from this two problems that are solved already, wala na akong reklamo sa liteace ko. aircon still excellent and fuel consumption estimate ko is 11-13km per li varying without and with aircon.

    i hope you can suggest your mechanic also to check yong "advancer" i really dont know what is it basta nawala ang problema ko the same as yours eh..

    nice presentation sir, maitanong ko sana regarding sa swaping mo ng engine ng liteace mo mga nasa magkano ang ginastos mo pati ang tire mo etc. nakita ko ang setup ng liteace sa link na binigay mo ang galing, gusto ko rin sanang gawin sa liteace ko. can you give me rough estimate ng budget. at isa pa meron bang pagawaan ng tulad nyan sa amin sa iloilo? any recomendation sir? thanx a lot and more power.

    If you wan't to swap a new engine like what I did try to source out an engine that its your need and your budget, because as of now the 3c-turbo diesel is kind of rare or if you could find one it might cost you a leg and a foot maybe 50k for the engine alone as of the price right now before it was 38K. And for the wheel and tire combo I traded in my old tire plus 20k the total money that I've spent for this project is approx. 200k all in all.

    But if you are going to do this for economy might as well maintain your engine with a good oil and maybe you would want to convert to auto lpg it's much cheaper around 20k-28k depends on who's doing the job.

    Now if you want to gain economy and a little bit more power from your engine the 5k you could use a bosch ignition coil + bosch super 4 spark plug , and use castrol magnatec 10w-40 semi-synthetic oil (1gallon use only 3.8L) change oil every 1ones year or 10K km,Bosch oil filter(part# 359) change your clutch assembly to exedy unity clutch assembly, and use castrol maual transmission oil API-GL4(2Liters) oil w/ pertua additive(1can approx. 400ml) for your transmission, and castrol gear oil API-GL5(1Liter) w/ pertua additive(1can approx. 400ml) for your diffs. and for your tires use 205/60R13 for your rear and inflate to 45psi and 185/70R13 for your front and inflate to 40psi. Use nankang Tire (nankang rx-615) at least this wont cost you more than 15K all in all. and use caltex techron silver as you fuel. And if you know of a good muffler shop there in your place you could opt to install a 4-2-1 header and a free flowing muffler. and lastly so that you won't encounter what other tsikoteers here have encounter with their unit as in overheating do not as DO NOT ever forget to add coolant to your water as in 50:50 mix I recomend petron coolant if available.

    Good day po, tanong ko lang kung anong magandang replacement na bulbs sa headlights ng Lite Ace namin, 95.? Medyo may kalabuan na kasi yung orig na yellow halogen bulbs namin, mahirap bumiyahe sa gabi pag mahina ang headlights, ano po ba ang maisa-suggest ninyo na brand, model, wattage, etc. para sa tsikot ko. Thanks. Mine is a 1995 Toyota Lite Ace GXL, 5k...

    Bro jbiazon use wurth plasma white 100/90 400pesos each much brighter than the standard bulbs thats what I used before I change to Lihtninglabs HID 6000k worth 6k rin just so you'll know.

    Philips X-tremePower H4 60/55W.

    Kung higher wattage ang bumbilyang gagamitin mo, kailangan mo rin palitan ang sockets at saka wiring para hindi matunaw.

    Bro if you want to use fuel injected you could try to install a 7k engine from a toyota revo or a 4a-ge engine.

    Bro try pulling your choke cable because when your engine is cold you need more fuel to start properly then if push it back in if you sense that your engine is already up to operating temp. hope this help. and try to check your filter air&fuel if they are still in good condition. and check your ignition system coil/contactpoint/condenser/distributor cap,rotor/High tension wires. and check if timing is correct.

    try getting a tune up (and change oil)


    one really good thing about the liteace is that its spare parts are unbelievably cheap, especially the shocks. bought the following last year from cruiser in sucat. all are genuine parts:

    KYB Front Shock Absorbers 800.00 each (not a typo)
    Toyota Contact Point 160.00
    Toyota Condenser 100.00
    Toyota O-Ring for Distributor 100.00
    Toyota Air Filter 340.00
    Toyota Fuel Filter 330.00

    mga sir, naka 97 lite ace po ako and carb engine, nakapag karga po ako ng unleaded na e10, ano po dapat ang palitan ko para di magloko ang engine? thanks!

    If ever pwede ba natin gimitin ang high octane fuels gaya ng Gold /w Techron(Caltex) para sa liteace?

    I've always used caltex gold or shell premium or petron xcs, though i prefer caltex gold since 95 octane. xcs din 95 kaya lang mas mura ng konti caltex gold, me techron pa! i've also tried sea oil. been using them for more than two years now. So far no probs.

    may on-going problem ako sa lite ace ko ngayon...

    bigla na lang nasa maximum yung readout ng fuel gauge ko...

    pati yung temp gauge ko, di pa ako nagsstart ng engine, mataas na rin kaagad yung reading.

    if meron na sa inyong naka-experience ng ganito, kindly impart naman po if paano nyo tinroubleshoot...

    saka nga pala, meron po ba sa inyo na may copy ng user's/owner's/repair manual ng lite ace?

    Bro pa check mo yan wiring mo baka na shorted/grounded to sa body panels mo. dahil ang gauge ay activated to negative ground. Let a good electrician check it.

    sir may previous experience na din ako sa hard starting ng liteace...
    ipatingin mo sa mekaniko, if may compression loss na sa isa sa mga cylinders...

    yung akin kasi dati ganyan, yung 4th cylinder (malapit sa transmission) may compression loss na due to No Good valve (di ko na matandaan if intake or exhaust hehe), pero nung napalitan yung valve na yun saka na-machining yung valve seat, naiistart na kaagad, kahit wala ng choke (kasi wala na talagang choke dahil kulang na choke mechanisms ng karburador ko hehehe)

    Thank you very much sa advice mo sir...

    Problem solved na, kaya lang it cost me to replace the entire instrument panel... :cry2:

    Tama yung na-findout ko dun sa fuel gauge, may naputol na thin magnetic wire dun sa mismong loob ng gauge pero mahirap ng remedyuhan... :cry2:

    Pagkalagay ng not-so-new na intrument panel, normalize kaagad readings as compared dito sa dati nya...

    BTW, pareho lang pala ng meter yung FX saka liteace, pang-FX kasi yung nabili namin but basically the electronic board and the wiring sockets are the same... (yun nga lang, meron syang warning light for heater, eh petrol ang liteace ko hehe) nagawa naman namin ng paraan yung sa heater light tinanggal lang namin hehe
