hi fellow tsikoteer liteace drivers/owners.

still very happy with the 15-year-old (1993) gxl with almost 120,000 kms that i am using. engine is 1.5 5K.

as i recall twice or thrice napapaayos due to overheating (change water pump and tighten the fan with silicon, radiator fix, etc.).

had aircon repair once (palit compressor and marami pinalitan) kaya malamig pa rin aircon sabi ng mga nakakasakay.

super alaga and i use only fully synthetic oil. normal working temperature nya is only ~1/4 or less of the temp gauge. alaga rin ang driving kaya 1st palit pa lang ng clutch a few months ago.

i used to get ~10 kilometers per liter a few months ago, mostly highway. medyo bumaba in my recent computations nasa 8.8 to 9 ang nacocompute ko. i would believe na big factor dito ang driving style (less braking, less sudden starts and stops).

marami nang kalampag dahil marami nang suspension parts due for replacement. but since walang budget, saka ko na ipapaayos.

aside from these, no other major repairs done since it was purchased in '93.

i would recommend 185/70 R13 size tires for the 5x13 stock rims.

64hp and gear ratios are not designed for fast driving but will get the job done. nakaya nito ang matatarik at rocky roads going to palm beach resort in batangas (past la luz resort) with 7 persons inside, (if you know this sobrang tarik ng mga ito) keeping up with newer sedans na kasabay ko.

meron aqng townace 2C ang makina, mlakas ang htak..diesel tipid siya sobra..cavite 2 lucban-lucban 2 cavite..500 lng balikan my sobra pa..mlacan din aircon khit puno..

guys share ko lang experience ko with my lite ace baka makatulong po kayo. ngpapatune up naman po ako twice a year..

1. fuel consumption is around 1:6km
2. medyo mausok na po ang lumalabas
3. medyo mainit po ang makina pansin ko po medyo mainit ang upuan. pero di naman po tumataas ang gauge ng temp ko. minsan po tumataas sya kapag stuck ako sa traffic then naka aircon po..parang madali po nauubusan ng tubig.
4. medyo mahina po ang kuryente. pansin ko po lumalakas humihina ang headlights kapag idle and everytime i step on the gas.
5. aircon wala naman gaanong problema.talagang mainit lang dito sa pinas.hehe
6. already changed alternator to 80amps

i was thinking that conversion from contact point to cdi would help a lot but honestly i have no idea what good or bad it could bring.hehehe

pa suggest naman po kung ano po ung pinaka importante at unang una kog dapat ipagawa. salamat po.

Hi guys. I noticed that the exhaust tail pipe of my liteace is sort of oily. Does this indicate some serious engine problems? TIA.

hi, ano po ba mas maganda sa distributor ng liteace? contact point or electronics?

madali maintence ang contact point..pero mas magada bigay ng kuryente ng electronic, pero pag nagloko ic, mahal..

hehe cant relate much, 2c-te jdm liteace ko,e...
