that's why, if you may notice, some gas boys will slow down the fuel delivery as the fuel level gets "near the top". they are slowing down, so's the remaining air in the tank can have the chance to exit thru the filler neck. if the air is not able to go out because it is being blocked by the onrush of incoming fuel, the neck gets filled up, with a large air bubble still in the tank. when you start the engine, nakakalog ang tangke at filler neck, baba si fuel at alis si air. then all of a sudden, you have space for 5-10 liters more!
the longer the filler neck, the more prone this can happen.
our PUJ drivers are even more intense... they shake the jeep to and fro, to get rid of the flat air bubble against their flat-topped gas tank. pag garahe kasi, ang usapan ay dapat full-to-the-brim ang tangke para sa susunod na mamamasada..
