timing belt is hidden inside the engine. it's different from the serpentine belt. it's more difficult to replace, because one would have to remove certain covers to access it, and one has to follow certain markings, if the engine is to run well.
    good luck.
    Oh! Hindi pa ako nagpapalit.

Ano required period or KMs para magpalit nun? And timing chain na innova diba?

    Thanks!

Bro... if belt, replacement would be typically between 80kkm to 100kkm... Will check if belt or chain for Innova.... But ours is gasoline variant...

^ medyo malaking gastos yan sir lalo if sa kasa. hindi lang kasi yung timing belt ang pinapalitan jan. may mga bearings, oil seals, tensioners, etc. na ideally sabay papalitan ng timing belt. i've heard it would be somewhere around 30-40k.

I am planning to put window visors on my 2.5G Innova, so that I can’t see the overlapping of the window frame covering plastic sheets.

Wondering why Toyota uses black plastic sheets to cover the window frames instead of painting. It simply makes the car looks cheap.

Casa would be the best place to replace your timing belt
and you are sure it is original brandnew and not used timing belts

    Bro.,- Hold your guns.....

I just checked before I left for the office....

    The manual states

"timing belt (diesel engine) ---- replacement is 150KKm..."

Not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me,- but nothing was mentioned on gasoline engine...

So,- I supposed that our gasoline-fed Innovas use timing chain,- and there is no need to replace... Just regular adjustment....

Can anyone here confirm this, please? TIA....

Timing chain po ang VVTi while timing belt naman para sa D4-D. Replaced our timing belt during 75K PMS for peace of mind. HTH!

why during the 75k kms. PMS?
our casa didn't advise us to changed it and
will wait until it clocked 150k kms.
btw How much did it cost err. the timing belt

In some forums, 75k is the earliest statistics where timing belt failure occurred, thou rarely.
    few only had experience this.
for peace of mind change it between 75-90k.

I told the mechanic to check it kasi nabalitaan ko din yung tungkol sa pagputol ng t-belt before the 100k mark. Nakalimutan ko na yung price since 2 years ago na yun pero most probably less than 2k+labor. (btw this was done in our suki shop)

Parang pareho ata tayo ng nabasa na forum ah. Hehehe! Yan din sinabi ng mechanic kaya pinagawa nalang. Mahirap din i-inspect since covered yung t-belt.
