guys can you enlighten mo on this? meron parang mahinang kalansing ng barya akong naririnig on the engine when accelerating. I'm sure walang barya na naligaw doon pero merong ganung sound. parang metallic ratttle during acceleration. according to toyota balintawak, it's due to the fuel I used (Shell unleaded gasoline). they advised me to change. Now I use Petron unleaded pero nandun pa rin yung sound. (Innova 2012 Gas, G) any ideas?

As experienced sa 2012 Innova J Gas namin, and based sa manual. ung light knocking sound during acceleration is normal. it may be due to the quality of fuel. You may try higher octane rated fuels like Petron XCS or Caltex Gold. haven't tried using higher octane fuel yet but I intend to use after its 10K PMS.

For the 2009-2011 and 2012 models, Its Red Mica Metallic (Brighter side of Red) as Compared to the 2005-2008 models (More on the Darker - Maroon side)
    Hope this Helps

replacement key housing with remote buttons available in the malls. where they fabricate key cards and duplicate keys. forgot exactly how much but not as high as 2500. they just remove the remote transponder of your old key and place it in new housing.

thanks mark. that's a reassuring note. sabi ng service foreman, dapat daw gamitin ko yung hindi mataas ang octane. I'll try Caltex silver next. if I'm not mistaken, the manual says to use only unleaded. di ba leaded yung XCS and other premium gasoline? in any case, i'll have them check the acu parts for bearing problems and whatnot next pms.

Just had my 180t kms PMS late last December 2012 and was advised that certain parts are up for replacement... may ma recommend kayo na mga shops outside of casa that can supply reliable and reasonable prices of the following:

    - front suspension arm (lower & upper)
    - rack end / tie rod
    - front wheel bearing

not sure if casa will accept parts bought outside.. but magbakasakali lang... di naman siguro super special ang mga parts na to na sa casa lang pupuwede gawin kaya worst case.. baka sa labas ko na rin ipagawa assuming may mabiling pyesa sa labas...

    Sir Wowiesy,

After 180,000 kms, yan lang ire-replace sa Innova mo? Aus a?

Reseal timing chain cover and timing chain cover o-ring parts 304.33 labor 3,136
Crankshaft oil seal front parts 901.72 labor 3,136
Valve cover gasket parts 712.66 labor 784
Labor of reseal primary and secondary oil pan labor 2,352
    Shop Materials 1,000

    God bless...

Looking at the pic you provided, its possible to fix the damage on bumper without necessarily replacing it. A source of heat (to soften the dimple) and they can push it out. Finish any noticeable imperfection with everybody's favorite concealer: masilya. Repaint. Good as new (depending on the workmanship).
Hi sir, we brought our Innova at TQA yesterday. They said they will replace the bumper since almost all the bumper clips are broken and it will cost us 5.5k as participation fee. We just have to wait for the approval of the insurance in 3 working days. BTW, our insurance is Standard.

I brought the car kanina sa aircon shop. ang sabi sa akin ganun daw tlga ang mga innova mabilis mag automatic ang aircon, pero may ginawa din cya kanina nag vacuum niya yung system then lagay ng freon, i notice medyo tumagal yung interval ng pag automatic ng aircon at mas lumamig hopefully ok na unit ko. sabi din nya next time na mag pacleaning ako ng aircon iadjust namin yung sensor ng aircon.

Do you also hear this sound after start up when the car is parked over a few hours? Assuming car was parked overnight and start up in the morning then accelerate slowly.

When the engine is already running a few minutes after start up, the sound no longer appears.

Since outside warranty na yung Innova mo, you can just take it to any Servitek station for replacement of those parts. I get my parts sa GANT motor sales sa Pasay. They sell OEM as well as replacement parts for Toyotas. medyo ok naman pricing nila based from experience.
