From experience, never use any air freshener and don't allow any smoking..just make sure to clean the insides of your car and it will retain its smell..

Dami kung nabasa na negative feedback bout the older model of D4D of toyota innova. Like hard starting, CRDi problem, nagchochoke,,Etc.. Ang Toyota diesel ba ay naka timing chain na like isuzu or timing belt parin like my old school pajero? Pero in the long end madali emaintain at dami pang pyeasa.
Pls give me some advise before I purchase my Innova J 2.5 CRDi
go and follow what your heart say(s)
with Innova; it really is a great vehicle; good for business and for family use
Regarding the problem of Innova with their older version, i believe they already have resolved this issue, since as you notice alot of Innova in the road; kasi kung sirain naman talaga eh di sana wala nang bumili ng Innova
I got a 2005 Toyota Innova J d4d M/T and it is running smoothly and running the way an owner would expect from his car....
for me; it really is a matter of how you take care of your car and your car woulds do the same to you....

I miss my 2008 Innova D4D model G., Unfortunately, it stalled on me at least 3 times and I wrote about it here in tsikot. They changed the Denso pump at least 3 times before it went away. Still, my confidence level will never be the same again. I am not scaring anyone here, it is my first hand experience. No, TMP has not solved the problem yet. It may not be prevalent but it sucks big time if one fell on you.

Otherwise, it is start and go workhorse.

elbow grease - it will require hard work for you to totally get rid of tars in your rear bumper and undersides.

Hello ma ka-innova. Ask ko lang kung ano ang mabisang pantanggal na tars at spalto sa side ng bumper where mudguards should be placed? Effective ba yung mga spray na pantanggal?

Also, i would like to ask everyone kung how if di ko sinunod yung changeoil schedule ko sa kasa kasi it was sheduled lasy year of october or after 25,000 kms. So naisip ko up to now di pa naman narereach yung 25 kms so di pa din ako nagcchange oil. Ano po ba ang more important na msunod, the date or the kilometer reading?

    Thanks in advance people.

May mga nabibiling pantanggal niyan. For me, I just use wd-40. I spray it on a clean rug - not directly onto the car's surface - then wipe the tar off. Sundan ko kaagad ng car shampoo and banlaw.

Sa oil change, I will recommend changing a mineral oil before reaching 6 months kung hindi pa naaabot yung odometer reference.

I don't know the fit of carryboy so unless you can check it out, it's best to settle for the original. Mind you, casa sells non-original accessories. Make it known to the dealer that you want an original. When it is original, it normally has a toyota package label with a Toyota Part No.

Actually, Casa sells Carryboy too. And it is cheaper (half the price than the original). Anyway, i will find out when my unit is released tomorrow.

    Thanks!

Wow...

Anyway, Im not still closing my door in buying a D4D-CRDi turbo diesel Innova. I will just cross my finger and pray hard na sana di bulok ang mabili ko.

Salamat sa magandang Advice ni Sir ojOT

    hi innova owners

has anyone asked about the toyota recall sa mga toyota dealers regarding the faulty accelerator pedals? pls read below? affected kaya mga innova natin?

DETROIT (Reuters) – Toyota Motor Corp said on Thursday it will recall millions more vehicles in the United States, its second massive recall in four months, this time to fix potentially faulty accelerator pedals.
The newest recall, affecting 2.3 million vehicles, marked an acknowledgment that potential problems with dangerous acceleration on Toyota vehicles run deeper than the automaker had first announced and broadened a recall that already ranked as its largest ever.
The recalls have damaged Toyota's reputation for market-leading quality and safety at a time when the automaker's U.S. sales remain under pressure.
Toyota had previously maintained that there was no evidence of a mechanical fault linked to reports of unintended acceleration that prompted the recall of about 4.2 million vehicles last year.
The automaker said the recall announced on Thursday was separate from the earlier action, which Toyota said was aimed at addressing the risk that the accelerator pedals could become entrapped by loose or improperly installed floor mats.
About 1.7 million vehicles are subject to both recalls.
Shares of the world's No.1 carmaker fell 3.2 percent to 4,055 yen on Friday, underperforming the Nikkei stock average's 2.6 percent drop. An analyst, however, shrugged off the impact of the recall.
"The recall is not a completely new development after the previous recall related to the floor mats, nor is it based on any accident," said Eiji Hakomori, an analyst at Daiwa Securities Capital Markets.
The latest recall includes the 2009 and 2010 RAV4; the 2009 and 2010 Corolla; the 2009 and 2010 Matrix; the 2005 to 2010 Avalon; the 2007 to 2010 Camry; the 2010 Highlander; the 2007 to 2010 Tundra; and the 2008 to 2010 Sequoia.
A Toyota spokesman in Tokyo said the company would consider whether it needs to issue a recall in Europe as well, where the same parts are used for some models. Cars sold in Japan do not use the parts in question

Sir, I do believe a change of engine oil and oil filter may be a must, despite you weren't able to reach the particular kms on your Odometer.... medyo kasi matagal na po yata ang last change of oil nyo.... kasi I overheard and overread something like a change oil may be changed every 5k kms on your Odo or 6 months - whichever come's first....
