good day tsikoteer's and fellow innova owner's
guy's can you share tip's and advice to me regarding sa proper PM's ng innova ko,I have a innova j 2006 model acquired 2nd hand w/ odo reading of 38745,i'am OFW with my wife also here working in UAE,we had only a yearly vacation and nakapark lang ang oto sa garage namin most of the time, my questions is.
a.) ok lang ba kahit twice a week pinapaandar ang oto?or what is the frequency should be?
b.) and advisable ba na magpalit ng oils (transmission,differential,and engine)kahit hindi masyado ginagamit ang oto?usually once a year lang ang uwi namin sa pinas.
c.)How about the timing belt po? pwde ko na po bang papalitan kahit hindi pa siya due for replacement?
Pasensya na medyo mahaba but it will be a great help for me considering na i'am outside of manila at least i will just arrange my PM itinerary for the next year.thanks very much

Bro. IMO ko lang ito...Okay lang yang practice mo na twice a week.

b.) and advisable ba na magpalit ng oils (transmission,differential,and engine)kahit hindi masyado ginagamit ang oto?usually once a year lang ang uwi namin sa pinas.

Use mineral oil na lang and replace oil every 6 months for the engine and once a year change oil for differentiual and transmission to avoid moisture build up.

c.)How about the timing belt po? pwde ko na po bang papalitan kahit hindi pa siya due for replacement?

Walang timing belt ang Innova, it has sturdy timing chain so there's no worry. Pag umingay na ang chain then that's the time to replace.

But with the tires that has lifespan of 5 years, don't use tires that are more than 5 years old.

Also indicate your engine if VVTi or D4d, M/T or A/T so that Innova owners here can guide you more.

thanks for the info sir, maybe i should inform my darling wife about it, cause she'll be taking care of our ride come next month, so far i have no complain with our innovaG 'til now, 8k pa lang odo ko. we do engine wash kasi on a monthly basis, & sometimes twice pa if were having a long distance roadtrip(w/c we always do). thanks sa post mo sir marqui.

ma'm Liv ask ko lang po, since I signed w/ tsikot then nagpamember na rin sa Innova yahoo group, would that mean na member na rin ba ako ng Innova club.ph? ive read in one thread to become an official member one must attend the EB, so ask ko lang po gus2 ko rin sana mag join Problem is my ride nasa province, pwede ba ako magjoin and buy ng sticker in case the EB would'nt be in conflict with schedule and kahit na hindi dala Innova ko?

Level 2 - registered member and have attended any EB of the group

info naman if meron pa problem sa engine ng toyota. One of the SA
kase told me that for 2009 models eh fixed na daw yung mga problems
ng D4D,.. how true. share your experiences nman po. Thanks.

To all 2009 model VVTi 2.0 .Fuel consumption naman po dyan. updates
lang about FC ng new auto nyo.Thanks much.

This afternoon, parked across the Court of Appeals, is a '08 black Innova J D-4D. Yes, black in J variant trims! Red plates (gov't vehicle). AFAIk, black is not a standard for J variant. Is this a special release?

I also noticed in one of the pictures of the Innova Club's tour of the Toyota Plant in Sta. Rosa last year ( i think?), there was a black Innova trimmed in the E variant.

thats what they would always say naman talaga po sa casa, but in fairness, mine is G m/t D4D so far so good pa naman, my odo now 8k+ in 4 months period pa lang(hilig kasi roadtrip w/ family) no problem encountered so far, except sa tires na napako causing big hole.

thats what they would always say naman talaga po sa casa, but in fairness maybe its true, mine is G m/t D4D so far so good pa naman, my odo now 8k+ in 4 months period pa lang(hilig kasi roadtrip w/ family) no problem encountered so far, except sa tires na napako causing big hole.

Correction. The model I saw is 2009 model or the new facelift from late last year.

Old or new body panel, I think it can be made to look like 2005 or 2009 because their differences only lie with the headlights, taillights, and bumpers. They can be interchanged around.

I know a couple innova J owner who had their ride repainted BLACK,even my father was thinking of repainting his inno J 2008 w/ black when he saw my black innova released this year,just a thought maybe they had it repainted,

There has been cases of people repainting their Innova "G" into other unavailable colors in the variant. I have seen a white "G" as well a black (back in 2005-2006 when it was not yet available). But to deliberately repaint a "J" and it being a gov't vehicle, I find this highly unlikely.

Shark's is not the same as Toyota's. It looks more substandard, but whether its mechanical/electrical parts will actually last as long as the rest of the vehicle, is completely another thing. AFAIK, it costs Php 16K and they do home installation too.

guys did you stay and binantayan innova niyo during its 1000 and 5000km pms? i just got back my innova from its 1000km sched maintenance and it cost me a whooping P3800.

thing is, i didn't stay and see my car being serviced, tapos there's even talks about other casa replacing new parts with defective ones (hope toyota cubao ain't one of them).. is toyota cubao a righteous (honest) casa like talagang seservisan car ko?

agree, my wife is also a govt. employee medyo mahirap nga kumaha budget para repaint,
