Hi good day to all innova owners...

Just got my innova G dsl m/t yesterday..

any one can explain to me d word "rustproof" un dn po ba ung undercoat? pano ko malalaman kng naka rustproof un?? thnx.. tska lahat po ba ng G may back up sensor"?thnx..

Bro, actually your car is already equipped with "factory rustfroofing" as stated in our owner's manual, what casa/dealers offers is "tar undercoat" for additional undercoating protection/sound deadening.

IMO, I am not sold to having tar undercoat simply because you will be covering the entire under body with black tar and it will be too late to see any sign of rust formation during the warranty period. And in worse cases some tar tends to crack in time and trapped water and minute metal particles from road dirt gets in between and oxidation takes place.

I have a decade old Lancer and never once get that black tar undercoat, no rust up to now...maintenance was just enamel paint undercoating every 2 years.

G and V have factory installed backup sensors.

FC ko bosing using shell's unleaded gas is
6 km/l - city driving (pasay to makati)
10 km/l - NLEX

... attn mga bosing na naka VVT-i, normal po b FC ko? d po b may kalakasan? ty & God Bless!

sir got a vvt-i but mt i average just 9km/l city driving, nag shift ako sa 2k-2.5 rpm

I don't see any problem with that, done that eversince I got the car and up to now hehehe, daily driver namin 8-9 yappies working in Makati from Bulacan.

I got my Innova J last april. So far so good. I have been browsing thru this tread for a long time that resulted to come into a decision to get an Innova. Thank you to all you guys. Hope to learn more in this threading.

From the previous threads, I gather that the must-haves would be:
--tire lock
--cover-all na plastic mat (since light colored ang flooring)

If I want to individualize, pwedeng:
--rear spoiler
--mags
--leather(ette) seat cover

I need to observe and watch out for the following which tend to break during the warranty period:
--suspension
--rear door lifters
--side mouldings
--brake pedal (rattle)


Yung lang po ba? Would appreciate advising me what else I should get, and where to best get them. Plus anu-ano kailangang bantayan?

For your engine which is VVTi, I am 100% sure it would be worry free, just follow the recommended PMS and your ride will serve its purpose for a long long time.

- Side mirror anti theft cover ( if you park mostly in public places) I lost mine just outside my house.

- if you are a DIYer...2 Towel Microfiber Cloth (Interior and Exterior) and a good wax, plus a handy vacuum cleaner.

If you can bargain for a maintenance free battery it would be a plus, I got mine with a regular battery and every PMS they tend to overfilled it and splashes of battery acids are visible on the engine bay.

I agree. following the regular PMS is a must. BTW, anybody experienced compressor breakdown and fuel supply malfunction in there Innovas ?

Thank you for the tip! Would anyone know where to get the complete cover-all mat to cover the entire floor? The dealer doesn't carry it and I want to purchase it first thing. Salamat!

Try Miggyboy. They sell thailand import full fitting floor mats for the Fortuner. They might have for Innova or the one from the Fortuner could into the Innova.

hi mga tsikoteers, ok na ba yung 2009 model na innova? wala nabang problema sa stallng,choking etc. ang d4d units nila? my mother was planning to get 1.mas preferred nya kasi ang diesel kaysa sa gas eh.. any updates? thnx about the problems? thnx....

Tanung ko lang, just bought innova j d4d last april 09, ang problem ko lately pag bukas ko ng aircon may amoy na parang di tuyo or parang ganun.. May way bang maiwasan yung amoy.

Mr. kennethroel..I also got a new innova j (diesel) last april. OK naman sya. Brought it to baguio at wala naman akong negative feedback. AT this point, I may recommend buying the innova. However, my dad also has an Innova J diesel he got 3 years ago. Nag lapse na ang warranty nya at lumabas ang problema. First, ang aircon compressor which made a very loud screching sound when you start the engine. Second, the engine tend to shut down right after starting and recently..wont shut down naman when you turn off the engine. This made me very afraid of my newly acquired Innova. I am not discouraging you..like I said..ok nama un gamit ko. Maybe..tsamba-tsamba lang yan sa unit. Hope this help.

Mr. Superbismarck. I also have the same experience..I suggest that you mention this to Casa when you have your 1000 km check up. I also experienced the same thing when I turn on the aircon unit. Parang hangin lang lumabas at walang lamig. This happen right after turning on but just for a few seconds.

Mga sir,

Tanung ko lang, just bought innova j d4d last april 09, ang problem ko lately pag bukas ko ng aircon may amoy na parang di tuyo or parang ganun.. May way bang maiwasan yung amoy.

Maraming factors para magkaroon ng ganun amoy. Try these;

1. After starting the engine, use the fan for a minute before turning on the aircon.
2. Before turning off the engine, use fan for a minute. This could also be done when cooling down the engine.
3. If you can check your cabin filter... access it from the glove compartment (pics below) baka madumi na siya.
