Gud day to all innova owners, i would like to ask something regarding fuel treatment. I'm having my 10km PM soon is it a routine every oil change to fill up a fuel treatment as well and is there other suitable brand that i can also use aside from being use by toyota. thank you.

Fuel treatment? for what engine?

Mine had already passed 40KPMS, never met fuel treatment in my PMS bills.

Mine was gas version.

It's just a waste of money. It won't do any good to your car.

It's standard in Toyota Commonwealth to include this fuel treatment in the job order. But, I always ask the Service Advisor to remove it.

i finally got a pair of cheek lights/fender lights/side markers for innova.

anybody here knows where it is best to have this installed? complete w/ rustproofing, weatherproofing...

I recommend you have it installed sa casa pa din, so as not to void the warranty sa electricals (correct me pls. if i'm right or wrong about this). If warranty's not an issue, any reputable car shop with good auto electricians will do.

There are ready connectors/wire ready for this cheek light option in our Innova, you can see these connectors inside the engine bay one on each side near the firewall.

The only issue here is the hole to be done on each fender sides.

mumsky, got it from toyota manila bay but was just given to me by my sister as a lucky charm for the innova. i didn't get the chance to ask na how much. you can call them and look for dennis sa accessories dept.

jay_el_330, yes medyo masakit pag iisipin mo ang butas but it's all worth the job kasi maganda sya and functional talaga.

my unit is innova e diesel. I always notice that in my PM that they include fuel treatment so i thought its because my unit is a diesel variant to prevent the injector or pump from clogging as i learned that d4d engines are very sensitive since the quality of diesel in country is poor. Please advise me if my assessment is correct or should i omit using fuel treatment. thanks

I totally agree with d4nt3 on this matter, i have also an Innova G DSL Black, totoong mas dumuhin ang black, pero kung kaya mo nman imaintain ng malinis to lagi... ang ganda at eleganteng tingnan ang black, chaka para sakin lng, pag black nakita kong innova na dumaan, cguradong high end variant yun, di mo na kelangan tingnan sa likod kung anung variant pa sya.

actually im in the process of choosing another vehicle again as my second ride, choosing between sta fe, 3rd gen CRV 2.0 or the new corolla altis G. honestly, gusto ko black uli sana, kaya lng since meron na ko, i'll go with a different color na lng this tym

grabe nahirapan ako maghanap ng black na g variant gas automatic...sa 3 dealers na nakausap ko they keep insisting for me to get the the silver, mid grey or beige.nagsiraan pa mga agent na kesyo wala daw mabibigay sakin ang kabilang dealer at kung meron man old unit na daw.medyo sad lang to kse they're all from toyota nman.ang skin lang kya sa 3 delers ako nag inquire is to get the best deal with the color i like.kya naka set na tlga mind ko na black innova na ang new car namin.fortunately last minute may available sa toyota san fernando.so tomorrow ill be getting the black innova.hopefully maging ok lahat cz ill be checking the conduction sticker(?) ba yun just to be sure na hindi old unit yun ibibigay skin(accdg to the agent from manila).ok thanks for all the advise evryone.ill keep you posted

You can get back to Manila Bay c/o Dennis (parts section) or you can look for Ely (service manager) or Jovy (my favorite SA)

Ask them if they can install it for you, of course it comes with a fee anyway butas lang ang kailangan dyan, meron ng abang na connectors para dyan sa loob ng engine bay left and right near the firewall.

If I were you, I will continue with the fuel treatment your SA is recommending, anyway its a preventive measure which is beneficial to your diesel engine fuel system life. It may hurt your pocket a bit but for sure it will save you from headache in the future.

Btw, would like to share lang that i had my 1year old innova serviced at ziebart for the complete rust-proofing and diamond gloss coating. 6 years ang coverage. damage was P15,960 (net of promo 20% discount) for both services. I always use this sa cars namin to counter the effects ng tubig baha at tubig dagat(baha) sa bulakan area. It's annually re-applied at a lesser cost, like sa rust-proof - you only have to pay the underwash then the re-application is free until the 6th year. Diamond gloss is at P3,500 yearly or you can choose to have it done every 6months at P1,900. Yun lang po. just thought of sharing it with you guys.

Regarding my new 17s, can't really compare it to stock since palit ako agad nung linabas ko ng casa, but I "feel" mas stable ang ride, d naman matagtag but I used to drive a cross wind then everest so feeling ko parang kotse ang innova.My ride does look a little bit aggressive coz no chrome red and black ang dating.... but medyo sleeper ang dating, d naman agaw pansin.

Ako naman po ang me question, since casa has given me free rust proofing, should I still have my ride undercoated??? Can I have my ride washed & waxed already??? 3 days pa lang po.

sir timo07 : sa ziebart, pasong tamo. katapat ng wyeth and coke. Umabot ako sir sa promo, got a 20% discount sa SRP ng service/product. don't know if promo is still on. They occassionaly offer that promo.

sir gil_co: thanks again for the inputs. IMHO yung casa-provided undercoat/rustproof is more than enough protection if your usual route is the metro or places where sea breeze/baha/salt water floods are rare or minsan-minsan lang. In my case kasi sir, i frequently travel to bulakan due to my business. Madalas ang baha doon ay dahil sa high tide ng dagat and ang office/garage ko ay close to the river. Plus, the occassional floods ng metro. hehe. For the top coat (diamond gloss), tamad po kasi ako mag wax/ car wash/ detailing/ etc. -- this works for me coz after maulanan or madumihan yung car, i only wash it with water, wipe it dry then its shiny again. I recommend the every 6 months approach for this para always fresh ang top coat. i think it also works well against the sun and the dullness effect it gives sa old paint. my revo is 7.5years old but looks relatively fresh due to the diamond gloss. as to wether it's okay to apply wax sa 3day old car, that i'm not sure. thanks!

Mga sir: ask ko lang kayo kung ano ang tire specs na pwede ko gamitin to achieve the following- 1. increase the height/ground clearance of vehicle 2. maintain/improve ride quality. 3. hindi dapat sumayad pag steer ko ng sagd left to right. I'm considering the following:
- R16/65 or 70/ 215 or 225 against R17/ 55 to 65 / 225. Need your help guys. hope you can give your insights. thanks in advance.
