For those planning to buy, here's what the facelifted Innova might look like. This is the new Innova Kijang released in Indonesia and India... is it worth the wait?

New mags, fog lamps, grill and bumber design. Also what appears to be body color side mirror & door handles.

New clear tail lamps. Notice the new design on the rear bumber with reflectors.

What I like about black is ganda tingnan pag makintab lalo pag wet ang body or bagong wax sya. It's also a very elegant color, but you have to keep it clean & shiny, otherwise it shows dirt easier. Kung putik o alikabok mas angat pa nga ang dumi sa black kaysa white. Sabi nga ng isang friend ko, dapat may pagka OC ka sa cleanliness kung black ang oto mo.

Another nice thing is it easily hides minor dents and scratches. Yun lang angat naman pag maraming swirl marks. Again, dapat OC ka sa pag-punas ng car mo.

What I don't like, and you should take note of this if you decide to buy black, there are times I don't immediately see black cars when I'm parking 'rear end' first. This is not only at night but inside parking buildings as well. Basta medyo madilim yung lugar medyo mahirap na sya makita.

Also during night driving, there are a couple of times na muntik na ako makasagi ng black car specially if they're on my right. Medyo mahirap makita agad, lalo na kung stop & go traffic at nag-uunahan. This becomes worse ngayong madalas umuulan.

But as they say, "once you go black, you won't go back." I just don't know if that applies to cars as well

    I have a 2007 model G M/T bought in late 2006, no ABS also.

But I will not join you in your pursuit of complaint.

It is clearly stated on the delivery invoice of my Innova all the specifications therein and there's no ABS stated, and I believe yours got a DELIVERY INVOICE in your name also with the full specifications.

So before you burst out and cry for attention, please see and check your documents on hand.

The ABS has became a standard when they introduce the Gas E variants in the late 2007.
Mile2 you're absolutely right, there's no need for name calling. Let's keep things civil.

I also agree with Number0001 there is no legal cause for a case. Reading beyond Article 2 and going through the entirety of RA 7394, anyone will see that no provision was violated by Toyota.

Perhaps my commercial law professors forgot to teach us about it, but where does it say that a manufacturer cannot change his product?

Any manufacturer has the right to change specifications at any time and they don't need our permission to do so. In fact, there is no law that prohibits this. More to the point, it is the spirit of our commercial laws to encourage free market competition, change and innovation. The presumption of the law is that market forces will eventually decide.

I also disagree that's its a safety issue. ABS enhances safety, but the lack of ABS does not make your car unsafe. Its an optional device that goes beyond the minimum required by law for any vehicle sold in the country. Also think about this, you bought your car without ABS, ipso facto, you accept its suitability and safety features available at the time of purchase.

On September 22 Toyota will be coming out with a new Innova version. Next month, Honda will be debuting their new City. Samsung added another HDMI connector in their Bordeaux CRT TV. Apple added 3G capability to the iPhone. Dell is now using 14.1" glossy LCD for their Inspiron laptop line. Zaragosa sardines is not as spicy hot as it used to be. Philippine ice cream doesn't taste as good as they used to be after multi-nationals took them over. Nescafe Classic is no longer sold in bottles.

So you see, things change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. We will need to accept that products go through cycles of innovation and change.

First, go to at least 3 dealers. Don't only compare price, but show them the other dealer's quote. Make sure you don't show you're an eager buyer, but at the same time make sure you come across as a serious buyer.

If you're buying this month, there is a discount of 40k for the G variant. Its very unlikely that this discount will carry over to the new face lifted Innova. You will need to wait til December to get a discount.

Standard freebies: rustproofing, tint (normally 3M), floor mats, fabric seat cover (usually corduroy), other negligible dealer specific freebies like key chain, jacket, t-shirt, umbrellas etc.

    Your bargaining chips:

    - Free 3-year LTO registration, this is over 7k value. Make sure you insist and make this a "deal breaker." Dealers would normally hold back but eventually give in.
    - Free insurance or at least a substantial discount that will make it below 20k. Your dealer will initially quote 28k to 34k, don't be fooled you can get this cheaper outside.
    - Upgrade to leatherette seat covers.
    - Discount on mags & tire upgrade. But this is not advisable. Its always cheaper outside.
    - Accessories you have your eye on, like, luggage tray, skirt, step bar, roof rail, etc. Either you get them for free or they give you a discount.

Right on the money, d4nt3. The mere fact that it is not required by law means that you cannot force it upon somebody or, in this case, the manufacturer to put ABS. Elevating the case to any legal entity will not bring any positive result for our complaining fellow innova owner. In my opinion, this will be a waste of time and money.

Fellow Innova Owners, has anyone tried using Gasoline with 10% Ethanol blend? Will it void the warranty for new vehicles? How is the performance, is there a noticeable increase or decrease in power? Thanks in advance for your replies.

2 wires are connected to the engine, then another to the transmission, then to the alternator then from alternator to the other side of body ground, and another to the chasis ground. tapos yung ibang wires ginawa kong bridge para yung ground parang 360 degree parang umikot ang ground sa bung engine bay lahat going to the battery
yung another 2 wires naka abang na para sa sound set up : isang wire going to the head unit and isang wire going to the capacitor
