G and V comes with 3 keys (2 with built in transciever and one duplicate key without transciever).

The duplicate key is the valet key, it will work on the ignition and all doors except the glove compartment.

When I go for PMS, I only give the valet key (duplicate key without transciever) with my glove compartment locked and the Security Alarm disarmed.

With this reason that I bought the Solex Steering Wheel lock, just to be sure the thief would get a hard time before he could stole the vehicle.

Tatanggalin lang po dito yung audio nyo then papadala po namin sa Fujitsu."

Di ba Fujitsu ang magpapadala ng new replacement sa casa upon request or order from them? Then palit na agad. Hassle yata kung pabalik-balik pa ako don sa casa. To think na wala akong sounds pag tinanggal nila yun while waiting for the new HU.
Di pala updated ang website nila. You're right- fujitsu sent the unit to the dealer we chose then they coordinated the time for us to go there and the unit got changed. Baka PLDT can help give you the updated number of fujitsu ten para you can do the same. hassle nga yung pabalik-balik and pag minalas ka, baka di brand new ang ipalit or bigyan ka ng some other excuse for delays.

Thanks for the just-in-time advice. I'll be calling the number you gave. Hmm... meaning sandali lang ang replacement nya?

BTW, i had my oil changed at 14.7K * Shell Talayan kahapon lang. Shell Helix na fully synthetic. 6.5 liters of oil ang nagamit. it cost me 4,600 with 6% discount. Umayos yung hatak at takbo ng makina. :D

Question: may AUTO-UP ang power window natin? mine is an E.
Sorry, the number i got from their website is not updated na daw {please see my answer above}.

    No Auto-UP on our unit - mine's J 2.5

    will do that sir. thanks

Here are some of my questions:

    1. Which engine is better: diesel fueled or gas fueled? (syempre medyo mahal ang gas ngaun, ano kaya?)

    2. If ever i will do break in, how many kilometers ang tatakbuhin bago mawala ang sound sa engine?

    3. How's the AC of the INNOVA E or G?

    4. Can we put carrying bars on top of INNOVA?
The A/C system for the J and E are said to be Sanden, while the G and V get Nippodenso.

I don't get what you mean by "mawala ang sound sa engine". Its hard to say what exactly is the "ideal" number of kms for a good break-in. Some say 1,000kms, some say 5,000 kms, some say 10,000kms......

I have seen people installing a carrying tray over their Innova....

totoo yan. Marami na akong nakikitang walang hub caps na J. siguro nanenok... Madali lang kasing tanggalin. Kahit nga center cap and takip ng valve, ninanakaw din... bwisit na mga pitikero

    Good day everyone,

THis is quite a long thread. Lots of info! Im a soon to be a new owner of an Innova G D4D AT. Its our first brand new car and my wife and I are quite excited about it. Im just a bit worried after seeing the D4D woes thread. As I posted there, I wish I've learned about this forum when we where in the decision phase. Anyways, Im getting a lot from just browsing through this thread. I'll repsost my question here. Since Im a newbie, Can you guys give me tips on basic diesel engine maintenance or just basic maintenance, just to make sure my innova will be running smoothly...what problems should I be watching out for and what are the preventive measures? Id be glad to hear your best practices also...thanks in advance

Sir, to help you decide, I think the D4D woes were based on the first release of Innova D4D or 2005 model. Reading some of the feedback from the thread, most of the problems if not all were corrected with the latest model.
There were some improvements introduced by Toyota. The case of D4D may be expected because it's new in the market. So it's up to you to decide if you'll go for Innova Diesel.

Regarding Diesel maintenance, mine is gasoline but I used to drive Diesel pick-up. My brother-in-law owns a Isuzu Crosswind XT and I've been getting feedback from him on ways to maintain his engine. Usually change your oil every 5,000 KMs or 3 months which ever comes first. Quite expensive but it's a good preventive maintenance practice. Diesel quality here in the Philippines is not as good as in the US or other leading countries. You just have to compensate by doing a good engine maintenance.

By the way, I've been seeing a lot of Innova D4D on the road. None of the units emit black smoke.
That's a good sign of improve Diesel technology

yung mga nakikita ko kasi na "bling" for me, puro chrome wheels ang gamit. although di naman pwede tawagin dubs since dubs should start at 20 inches. madalas ko makita mga 17s with 50 series tires.

street naman for me, yun yung mga naka concept one wheels or yung mga non-chrome wheels na 15s-17s. yung tipong pwede pang local shows like B2B.

tuner look naman is yung mga gumagamit ng tuner wheels such as yung work emotion (orig and copy) and other tuner wheels na makikta sa mga tuner magazines ng SUV or cars.

opinion ko lang naman po ito.

and for me, safe siguro if you can get 55 series tires for size 17 wheels. bale 215/55/R17 yung specs nung tires. yung rating naman nya will depend on the load that you put into your innova.

    HTH.
