Ang usual culprit dito is the design of the transmitter which is attached to the handle of the key. This gives the transmitter less space to accommodate a battery with a higher voltage. Another culprit may be the absence of a transistor which may amplify the signal of the LED (Light Emitting Diode) or IRED (Infrared Emitting Diode).

You can actually increase the effective range without destroying your keys or your stock alarm. Just buy a long range car alarm and have it wired sa central locking system mo. In short, you will have 2 alarms. One for the alarm per se and one for long range keyless entry.

For those with better knowledge, please correct me.

By the way, gusto ko sanang itanong kung meron interior cover ang hood ninyo. Yung nakadikit sa underside ng hood to protect the interior of the hood as well as the paint of the hood from the engine's heat.

AFAIK, the cover is available only for the diesel variants. Gas variants will have to make do without the cover.

Depending on the many different manufacturers around, their numerous models and variants may or may not sport the cover. AFAIK, a vehicle does not need to be a diesel to have sport one. It really depends upon the discretion of the manufacturer.

In the case of the Toyota IMV platforms (Hi-Lux, Innova and Fortuner), the respective diesel variants sports the cover and the gas variant dont.

Went to Toyota Otis this afternoon, and PRETEND my ride has some problem on cold start the past week...

    Conversation went like this...

SA: Sir dapat iwan niyo ang sasakyan niyo dito then pag-ayaw start the next day that's the time na-icheck namin ang actual problem ng unit niyo...

Well, what can you say people.....you be the judge...

    WBR,

Because here in the Philippines, we have very poor consumer rights, unlike in the US.

True, but can't we do something about it?

    Sir Takumi,
AFAIK , Senator Villar has a pending Bill about this, Anti lemon law , kasama na dito ang recalls, so ang pinakamagandang gawin dito ay call the attention of the principal author of this bill and file complaints against this car manufacturers, para may backer ang mga ka grupo laban sa mga hinayupak na mga dealers na ito.
