It is one of the complicated parts supplying fuel to the engine. kaya nga meron talaga diyan gma carburettor specialist para sa ganoong klaseng trabaho. Pero if the mechanic has sound ideas regarding the workingprinciple of this gadget, maayos din. It just concerns with the idle speed, lean/rich mixture, fuel flow at full throttle, at immediate response of closing the fuel feed upon releasing your foot from the pedal, otherwise, nabubulunan ang makina or nag run away speed.
Even me, na walang kamuwang muwang regarding this gadget, nabaklas ko at nalinis ang karburador ng 4K engine ko. Yun nga lang, di pala iyon ang problema but the fuel pump . di nagibibgay ng tamang bomba kaya natutuyuan ang resevoir ng karburador

how i wish my fx is one of those parked over there.
well, i just got another fx. its a clone of my maroon fx i posted in this forum last year. its a 96 model GL with 3c turbo engine. i just installed a roof carrier, a bulbar infront and at the back, personalized a black/red german leather seat cover, put some crome on the door lock and a crome grill at the tail light, changed the steering wheel to a wood steering wheel and bought a new 14" magwheels. i'll post the pictures later. it may help fellow fx lovers to improve how thier fx looks.

January 13th, 2010 04:17 AM #328Sir Kuligligko,
I have been an avid reader of this forum since becoming a member a couple of months back when I bought my first ride which is a Toyota FX from a classmate friend who owns an auto shop. My ride, by the way, has a 2c Turbo engine. I truly enjoy reading your posts, as they are not only informative but practical as well. I applied most of the things na naipost mo regarding FX engines and its really nice to hear from you again. Akala ko nga di na kayo magpo-post. Been going back and forth to this forum to see kung may bagong info kayo na shinare. Your posts and comments about the Tamaraw FX being a practical ride and suits most Filipino family made me felt good about the purchase I made. In fact, na test drive nang husto yung FX ko when it was used as a delivery van for I.T. equipments na ang destination was Vigan, Ilocos Sur. It carried 30+ units with LCD monitors pa. Suffice to say, smooth ang biyahe at kayang kaya yung load. The next trip we took, which was about 2 weeks after the trip to Vigan was papuntang Isabela naman. This time puno sya ng pasahero. Around 12 persons ang laman. Akala ko nga baka mahirapan sa Sta. Fe but to my surprise, it rode thru the mountains without any problem. Even sa city driving wala ako negative na masabi except yung kaunting tagtag which I think will be solved kapag mapalitan ko ng mas magandang shocks kaysa dun sa nakakabit ngayon.
By the way, just last week bumigay ang water pump nya and di ko matrace ang reason but I have suspected na baka nalimutan lagyan ng kapatid ko yung radiator ng tubig coz madalas nya pagpractisan idrive yung FX ko sa subdivision namin. Or maybe **** happens lang talaga. Anyway, since I consider you as an authority with regards to the FX, ask ko naman po yung maco-consider nyo na good brand for the water pump. I plan to purchase what you will recommend. Also since I went canvassing na rin via telephone am curious that some auto supply are asking kung pang 2c or 2c turbo ba ang water pump na inquire ko. Talaga bang magkaiba ang water pump for 2c lang at 2c turbo? Looking forward to your reply. At saka sa mga fellow forum members, kung mayroon kayong mai-add na info, its definitely welcome.
Sir Kuligligko, keep up with the good work of posting great information regarding the beloved FX.

gmb is a good brand for the water pump. i dont think magkaiba ang water pump for turbo and non turbo. but anyway, kung original na 2c turbo (flat top yong cover ng cylinder head) makina mo sabihin mo na lang na 2c turbo. pero kung yong original 2c ordinary engine (with vacuum on top of the cover) na nilagyan ng turbo, thats definitely none-turbo. pero as far as i know, pareho lang yang water pump for turbo and none-turbo. sabi mo bumigay ang water pump. kadalasan pag bumigay water pump, may tumutulong tubig sa front ng makina galing sa tapat ng timing belt. so pag nagpalit kayo water pump, pa check mo na rin kung okay pa timing belt since babaklasin din naman.
