    the cheapest shell or caltex or ptt that i can find, basta lang hindi baha-in ang estacion.

    meron nga. it's called cetane rating.
    but i believe, pasok dito lahat ng diesels na binebenta sa 'pinas.

    Octane is for gasoline and cetane for diesel. Any diesel will do . Just make sure the gas station is free from baha.
