it's a nice added feature as it is standard on the V trims of the latest Forts. But in the real world, The thing with cruise control is that it makes you less interactive with your rig and makes you sleepy on long drives. never bothered to use them when we had our roadtrip in the US.. but hey that's just me

I use my cruise control all the time. I drive NLEX/SCTEX/TPLEX several times a week.

When the road is empty it's relaxing to just keep it at a certain speed and let the car do its thing. When you've driven tens of thousands of highway miles, driving at top speed becomes boring and feels wasteful. So I just keep the cruise control under the allowable speed limit and have a relaxed trip. I still end up faster than eager beavers who have no RFIDs anyway.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The last part always makes me smile. Just last time, those cars overtook me then I saw them queued up the toll booth. I passed them and as I overtook a truck, they all lined up with that truck all the way to Subic.

I use it all the time..but only when I'm in TPLEX. Not usable in NLEX/SCTEX (some part), that's where traffic starts/ends.

i believe that info is pasted on the battery case itself?
    or in the owner's manual?

but most battery shops know it, also. just tell them, "pang fortuner...".
call for availability, and for price.

    good luck.

I'm scouting kasi online. I saw this Amaron Hi Life Pro 125D31L (3SM) recommended cia for Fortuner Diesel. Then I saw this 1 "expert" in automotive battery. Sabi nya hindi daw recommended ang 3SM masyado daw mataas dapat DIN 74. That leads me here asking for more expert advice. 2k price variation by the way so sayang din should the cheaper one actually suffice.

Yung 3sm or DIN74 i think is the size of the battery.. better go to the shop to check if it fits.. also may mga battery ngayon na may slot sa baba for the clamp

    they refer to battery size.
but their size usually correlates with capacity.
if your factory spec car has 3smf, then replacing it with 3smf is ok.
if you intend to get another battery: it is paramount that you check if it will fit well; and check the electrical specifications, so that your replacement battery's will approximate the battery it is replacing.
"everything information comes to he who googles."

also, battery types also matter, price- and warranty-wise. there's the motolite top of the line gold, and there's the bottomfeeder champion (40 % cheaper).
in my last replacement, i opted to champion, because i was envisioning lotsa highway driving. well, after 2 years (warranty is only 12 months), ok pa naman siya.

    good luck, po.

try other brands. You can check out other reputable brands ie; Yokohama, Goodyear, Cooper, Nitto. If you want a little cheaper check out other brands like the ones made by asian countries, Maxxis (Taiwan), Savero (Indonesia), Hankook (South Korea), etc

    Hi tsikoteers,

Need your advise on this. My 10-month old fort has a shaky steering wheel at speeds ranging from 80 - 120 kph at may kabig din sya sa kanan. I recently got it balanced and aligned(including camber, negative camber daw sya upon checking). Drove home and immediately kumabig agad sya pakanan right after the alignment so I brought it back in the afternoon to have it aligned again.

The following day, I'm still having the same symptoms: kabig sa kanan and shaky steering wheel. I always maintained tire pressure at 29 psi as recommended in the manual and it's a fairly new ride at 14,000 kms. Hope you can shed some insights on this matter. Maraming salamat!

gawin mo 40psi. underinflated yan, dont follow the manual. read the tire itself if 44psi max load - 10% around 40psi

actually kinakabahan ako sa shaky steering wheel mo since running sa 29 psi underinflated for 10 months tops, baka may pagka-oblong na isa dyan.

an old-timer gave me this tip.
when all the usual scientific thingamajigs fail,
remove the wheel, inflate it to, say, 45 psi, and roll it on a flat concrete surface.
if the wheel rolls to one side, it's out of round ("oblong na"), and needs replacement.

Yun nga din kinakakaba ko if may oblong na agad yung tires. Anyway, this is confusing sir. Most say follow the manual or the one printed on the door/panel na may tolerance ng 3 to 4 psi. No offense sir pero nakakalito tuloy kung ano susundin

This method always pops up upon quick research. Will try this as well, thanks!

Bring it to casa, ipa warranty mo. I remember my dad adventure ganun din before nag 1 year, yun pala na oblong na, maybe naka under inflate tire nya running for many months without checking the tire pressure, good thing ni replace ni casa under warranty.

Follow the tire pressure settings indicated near the driver's door ... Also, after computer alignment, do not adjust anymore by doing a test drive ... If it still swerves, check the tires and suspension ...
