Am considering a Strada as well pero wala kasing use sa akin yung pickup bed at hindi kasya sa garahe namin.

Posting this FC update after filling up with gas again.

    From the trip computer:

    FC: 11.2 km/L
    Distance traveled: 407.2 km
    Average speed: 18 kph

Traffic was significantly better after Christmas; this was a factor for the better city FC. I didn't go outside Metro Manila. The Vitara was a daily driver the past week, going on a handful of trips from Alabang to BGC and Alabang to Makati via SLEX/Skyway. Aside from that, the car stayed in the Alabang, Las Pinas, and BF Paranaque areas.

Vitara is coming in for 1K (1month) PMS tomorrow. Bilis ng panahon.

I filled up with Caltex Silver (91 RON) this time, just to see how the Vitara handles it.

    - Siyempre pambungad.. I am still first in the queue for a GLX unit.
    - Earliest availability of GLX is in Feb (meaning earliest 'go' signal ng SPH na pwede na i-release yung 'hinoard' nilang units .. hahaha).. Off the record daw, mukha talagang sinadya ng SPH ipitin yung allocation ng GLX units.
    - The aforementioned 100-150k price increase seems very likely to happen. Sabi nga ni SA it might even reach the 200k mark... "Tubong lugaw Suzuki.. bravo!"
    - She smirked when I showed her the "Buy NOW pay OLD price" ad... common sense.
    - Suzuki will even have an Autofest event in SM South Mall Jan 13-14.. Sadly, they will still promote the Vitara using the current SRPs -- which will cause agony to new clients... "come and join the bandwagon! "

Kaya as for me, I will take up dr. d's recommendation. Wait until the fog clears dahil ayoko na ng haka-haka.. I will decide if I still want to get the GLX after I see the new price (and also considering all unfortunate experiences with Suzuki in general). If not, then back to the drawing board kung anong brand/model nalang ang kukuhanin ko for the wife. Problem is, using Vitara as the baseline given all its features. Anyway, bahala na.
Going back to this last post of mine on the 9th.

I received a Viber message from my SA the following morning (Jan10) -- "Sir, kapit lang po tayo.." . It came out of nowhere so I was wondering if this was a product of my little "pep" talk with her the previous night. I jokingly replied -- "Kapit 'san, sa TRAIN?" . She laughed but immediately followed through with a message stating that they just finished with their GA and got informed that a GLX unit 'might' arrive this month.. Supposedly 'our' long-awaited red/black GLX. Management told her not to mention anything to the client until it arrives (100% sure) yet probably due to her excitement, she blurted it out anyway. I told her that well, that's something positive. Although in reality, I did not put my hopes up kasi dalang-dala na ako. In fact, I already moved on. Told her na if it's meant to be, so be it. Otherwise, learn from the experience and move on.

Jan11, 9:30am.. I was on leave that day to bring my dad to the hospital for his scheduled operation. On the road I received another Viber message -- "Sir 'wag sana kayo mabibigla.... nandito na unit natin!!!" then photos of the CSR, unit details, delivery receipt and of the unit came in. At that time, I didn't know what to feel.. mad, delighted, snobbish, etc.. Then another text came in -- "Kaya po kaya i-release TODAY?" . Oh come on!!! For God's sake I am bringing my dad to the hospital and the tension back then was already high! Nonetheless, I stayed quiet for a minute, thought logically and regained my composure. Brain cells were on overdrive trying to formulate a plan to make all ends meet. Multitasked by making tons of calls, texts and emails while attending to my dad's needs. Alas, when everything in the hospital was settled (12:30pm), I had the chance to travel from QC to Pasay to go to my bank and make all necessary arrangements. SA kept on asking about the status of DP and ATD every 30mins... Madami daw kasing co-SA na umaawit sa boss and she's not the favorite amongst all of them. Not to mention, the walk-in clients who saw the GLX and were ready to either pay in cash, or accept whatever in-house package is thrown at them just to get the unit (even heard the boss asking her of my status at the background).

I worked with my bank officer from 1:30pm-4:30pm. I transferred to my other bank to execute the DP fund transfer *4:30pm.. original deadline given by my SA was 6:00pm.. but at around 5pm, when I was already in front of the bank counter, her boss was giving her hints that we were about to lose the unit. Having not had eaten anything the entire day.. the stress.. the unnecessary pressure.. I snapped (in an educated manner). "Gundam-it!!!!".. You made me wait since November.. You've fed me a bunch of false hopes.. You suddenly popped up again when I was 99% moved on (parang ex lang).. You've made me work my arse off and run like hell on a very sensitive day... and now you're telling me this!?!?!?!?!

It is true that most, if not all, SAs are only focused on collecting reservations and POs to meet their monthly quota. Although what happened to me somehow made me think that SAs are really (probably) at the mercy of what their management tells them. Not saying that I already had a change of heart, but you know what... my SA pulled through. And after EVERYTHING I've been through? Worth it.

    Here she is --

Lastly, just wanna share as well that I'm just blessed to have worked with a very, very exceptional junior bank associate who was able to pull everything off given the very short notice -- from preparing the loan agreement and attachments, signing, scanning, sending to head office, 'pagbraso' sa approvers, 'pagbraso' sa ATD and a lot more.. I'm sure she's gonna have a bright future ahead.

Congrats on your new ride! The question is, did you get it with the old price?

Sirs #dreamur, #essjei55, #TheUninvited— Yup, original (agreed) proposal was upheld by the dealer. P1.048M..

It was totally unexpected lalo na at puro GL+ and a few GLX turquoise lang ang lumabas.. Akala ko talaga wala na but I am still thankful na nagmaterialize
