Hello to everyone. I am planning to buy a Vitara but a bit hesitant due to reading from another local automotive website that there will be a new facelifted Vitara coming to our country this year. Does anyone here have info or news regarding this rumor of a new Vitara coming soon to the Philippines?

i've been searching for news of this too. in fairness, suzuki will be launching the new ertiga very soon which was just launched late last year. pero baka latter part of the year na to kasi ilalabas pa yung all new jimny. only 2 engines available globally and both are turbo units kaya laking sisi kung bumili ako now tapos lalabas din pala this year hehe

    yup.
but the range of "very soon" can be anything from a few weeks to a few years.
especially if the "announcement" is not official, or was meant for foreign market and not locally...
    heh heh.

ay meron palang 1.6 non turbo. so most likely ito mapupunta sa atin haha unless gusto nilang tapatan ang ecosport. tingin ko next year pa to the earliest unless sobrang bumenta at maubos agad ang stocks.

I have the same question. I am really considering the vitara but holding off buying one because I’m afraid the facelifted model with the turbo engine will be coming here soon. Went to Suzuki Alabang and the SA were clueless about the facelifted model and insisted that what they have is the latest 2019 model.

Can anyone confirm if the facelifted model will be arriving soon? Thank you so much!

Hello Beatrix Kiddo. After checking out most of the Suzuki automobile websites around the world, I am mostly convinced that the chances of the turbo facelifted model arriving to our country this year is slim to nil. It is mostly in Europe that they get to see the new stuff. For the rest of the world, the current variant we have here is what they get for 2019 too. So after much thought, I finally decided to get the current one we have here and so far so good for my first Suzuki. I think if you decide to get the current one we have here, you will be happy with it.

Thank you suzukinewbie for your response. Having the boosterjet engine would be great though. For the current model I still have to install after market center console, and tint for the panoramic sunroof.

The SA in Alabang offered me 50K discount for bank p.o. Anybody got a better deal or this is already a good one?

i also got the same quoted discount from suzuki commonwealth. what do you mean by "after market center console"? you mean the center armrest for the driver?

Yes, the armrest because the vitara we have here doesn’t have one. The facelifted boosterjet model has it though.

No real reason to buy a manual these days, especially in Metro Manila.

Yeah. That's one of my main gripe as well.
I guess im part of a dying breed.

Most buyers of this crossovers are after convenience, hence only automatic versions.
