    let me see...
to customer: "excise tax increase na po tayo. + 100K na..."
to BIR: "not excise tax-able po. old stock pa yan, sir. heto import papers. notice the dates..."

i heard someone over the radio, say that "they will check the papers of these items..."
"now, if only they make true with their statements, and pass on the biyayas to the buyers..."

if government institutes a "finder's fee" for these hidden wealths... wherein the "finder" is rewarded by a significant % of the additional tax successfully collected...

There's a ton of other features to lose aside from these.. Although just like what the others said.. If still interested with the Vitara, no choice but to wait. In fact, I have just ended a talk with my SA. Here'e her take --

    - Siyempre pambungad.. I am still first in the queue for a GLX unit.
    - Earliest availability of GLX is in Feb (meaning earliest 'go' signal ng SPH na pwede na i-release yung 'hinoard' nilang units .. hahaha).. Off the record daw, mukha talagang sinadya ng SPH ipitin yung allocation ng GLX units.
    - The aforementioned 100-150k price increase seems very likely to happen. Sabi nga ni SA it might even reach the 200k mark... "Tubong lugaw Suzuki.. bravo!"
    - She smirked when I showed her the "Buy NOW pay OLD price" ad... common sense.
    - Suzuki will even have an Autofest event in SM South Mall Jan 13-14.. Sadly, they will still promote the Vitara using the current SRPs -- which will cause agony to new clients... "come and join the bandwagon! "

Kaya as for me, I will take up dr. d's recommendation. Wait until the fog clears dahil ayoko na ng haka-haka.. I will decide if I still want to get the GLX after I see the new price (and also considering all unfortunate experiences with Suzuki in general). If not, then back to the drawing board kung anong brand/model nalang ang kukuhanin ko for the wife. Problem is, using Vitara as the baseline given all its features. Anyway, bahala na.

Yep, yan din sabi ng SA ko. Ok lang sana mag-antay eh, kaso kung 6 digits ang increase ay wag na lang.
    Time to pull out.

Suzuki went full on greedy on the Vitara. Screw them.

what a greedy company! you mean this thread spanned more than a 50 pages since November 2017 coz of the GLX bang for the buck features at 1.048M pero hinde pala yun ang price. parang hi-nype lang. how could it increase 100 to 150K eh pang tig 1.5M na yun ah

payo ko sa inyo, diss Suzuki Philippines altogether, boycott all their products. delikado ang ganyan ugali and to think hawak pa din kayo sa leeg coz of the warranty and pms period.

companies like this should just close for good. or maybe arrest all the top people there. parang criminal behavior

although if there's any consolation, maybe it's a blessing in disguise, considering that the excise tax on gasoline is really high. baka not meant to be etong car na ganito sa roads natin

Keep in mind that we're competing against other countries for allocation from the Hungary plant. I've read positive reviews of the 4th gen Vitara in Australia, so it probably is regarded well enough across other countries. The 4th gen was introduced in 2015, and the fact that it took until late 2017 to get it says a lot about allocation.
    .
transparent nasa buyers or the Philippine public kung limited or mabagal ang shipment. internal problem nila. they cannot argue an internal problem to create an artificial shortage tapos biglang plus 100K na. if they can do that to units, might as well do it sa parts niyan GLX. yan ang isusunod na i-try ng management nyan if they can get away with it.

these are signs ladies and gents , kung dalawa isip pa kayo. eto na o tinutulungan na kayo ng fate. anyways, it's too good to be true naman talaga na magkarun ka ng malaking touchscreen at moonroof at that price. if it's too good to be true ...

doc, di ba nga ako pa gumawa ng thread sa comparison section praising the Suzuki GLX. eh from the looks of it, wala naman pala intention ang suzuki magbenta ng GLX. GL lang pala talaga. ilan nabenta nila GLX since Nov vs. sa mga nag-settle na lang sa GL. na dapat nag-ecosport or brv na lang, pero napilitan mag GL, kasi matagal pa gLX.

dapat nga wala na talaga Vitara dito sa Pilipinas eh, there is element of deceit there somewhere. so what happens to the GL buyers now? eh hinde naman Suzuki first choice sa segment na to, either BRV or Ecopsport lang. kawawa naman, na hype ng GLX na too good to be ture.

para sa kin yun mga bumile ng GL naloko. kasi diba yun SX4 nasa ganyan pricing na din nuon pa, 900K, bang for the buck pero langaw pa din. pero ngaun parang bigla nagbilihan ng GL kasi all of a sudden bang for the buck coz of the flagship GLX. now that we all have an idea where the GLX is heading (1.2M hinde na bang for the buck), yan GL na yan bagsak kagad resale value nyan, swerte ma-dispatsa mo ng 400K yan in 2 years, SX4 ngaun nagmamakaawa na yun nagbebenta

let the dealers have their gimmick.
and let the buyers decide for themselves.
after all, no one is forcing you to buy one.

o sirit na... ilan na ang nag-settle for the gl, in lieu of the first-choice glx? and how many of these are unhappy over the exchange?

I agree. 6-digit increase? Might as well consider other brands na lang. Buti sana kung yung Allgrip version ang ilabas nila with that amount pwede pa.

At 1.2 million, rumored GLX pricing would be similar to the previous-gen Grand Vitara (1,160,000; TOTL Special Edition at 1,210,000). If that's the case, the bang for the buck then was the six-figure discount Suzuki gave when they were trying to sell the remaining stocks of the Grand Vitara to make way for the fourth gen. The Grand Vitara, though not a 4x4, is a 2.4 SUV slightly larger than the current Vitara.

I can understand the frustration at the GLX not being currently available. But I guess all that can be done is wait for the updated pricing to come out.

I'm happy with my GL+ and how it performs. The competition at the same price range doesn't offer as much.

My umamin na na SA saken to be transparent daw. more likely daw march pa ilalabas ang mga GLX, and price would be 1.2m. yung planta mismo daw ang nag iipit ng stock ng glx. pero yung GL+ nila madami daw stock. tatlong SA na nag alok saken ng GL+. pero di ako interested sa GL+. Its a No no to me if its 1.2m na, lapit na yan sa HR-V or tucson diesel. or wait na lang yung 2018 Xpander and Toyota rush

but the planta is in hungary!
maybe he meant, local suzuki decision-makers.

    sige sila!
they're getting uncomfortably close to the innova...

but in truth, SAs know only what admin upstairs will allow them to know.
