For the first 150 kilometers, I averaged 9.5kms/liter. The next 100 kilometers, I averaged 11.4kms/liter. It includes traffic and idle time. It will surely be a higher FC if not for the idle time and terrible traffic.

Talking about the new tax, yes. But remember there’s also the increase in SRP from their so-called introductory price.

i hope it turns out to be a good car. but,
introductory price is a "getting to know the market" price. it can either go up, go down, or remain the same, depending on costumer response.
won't they be taking an awfully big gamble if they increase the price significantly, and expect the buying public to continue queueing up to buy their new model, even at increased price, once longer-term owner feedback shows that their new hot car is a gas guzzler, or that it has this and that problem? (i'm not saying that it is, nor that it has. baka sakali lang.)

from what i see now, today's buying frenzy appears to be more because of the new tax measure, than because of the car itself.
only once have i seen an un-believable demand for a car... toyota's imv vehicles of 2005, where the waiting list for a fort extended to 8 or 9 months.

Is that mixed highway and city driving? Or only city driving?

Mixed Driving. For the first run its BGC-SLEX Caltex Southbound, SLEX Shell Northbound, Carmona Exit-Calamba-San Pablo. For the second run its San Pablo-Pasay-San Pablo (via Calamba-Los Banos).

Quite good considering how bad traffic is on those areas.

Rough FC computation for first 315km is 8.5 km/L. Mixed city and highway driving (around 2/3 city, 1/3 highway).

Highway driving included Evia-MCX-SLEX-Nuvali-SLEX-Festival Mall, Skyway Alabang to Makati and back, and Skyway Alabang-NAIAX-MOA.

City driving was mostly in the Alabang and Las Piñas areas, including a lot of time in notorious December traffic along Alabang-Zapote Road. At one trip, it took one hour to travel one kilometer. In another instance, it took more than 30 minutes to exit SM Southmall’s basement parking.

Nearly all trips had at least three passengers, about half with four plus groceries or five people.

I also remained on the tire pressure that the wheels had when I drove out of the dealer throughout that period. Fuel is Caltex Platinum.

I’m doing slightly worse after filling up with fuel again (purely city driving). But I’m getting figures comparable to what I got with my Fiesta before, though this is only bound to improve as my Vitara logs more kilometers.

Have to say I’m pleased with the FC so far.

Hi. My SA's Sales Manager recommended 28-30 for the wheels. So i went to the nearest gas station and learned that the current air pressure of all four wheels were at 42.

I am using Shell FuelSave gasoline. Two heavy guys during the trip. Coming from Ford Escape 2.3, I am very happy with the FC I'm currently getting from my Vitara. I believe mileage will be better after 1000kms.

Madami naman GLX na release last year, puro sa mga cash and in-house financing buyers lang.

Ako late Nov. nag-reserve, wala pa din.

Yung "planta" sinisisi ng SA ko dahil iniipit daw yung supply..

As of yesterday wala pang increase yung Vitara, sa Jimny pa lang daw, around 20k.

i believe the limiting factor is the "barko".

Rare sight last night. Finally shared the road with another 2018 Vitara.

My black Vitara was behind a gray one from the C5-McKinley Hill stoplight around 8:45pm. Didn't get to overtake and "greet", though. The gray Vitara continued towards Pasig while I went up the Market Market flyover to BGC.

Hindi ka nag iisa sir. Same dilemma as yours.
Yesterday I called up Suzuki Commonwealth, walang stock, pati price increase wala... oops I mean wala silang alam.

Based on Honda's posted pricelist for 2018 with similarly priced models with the Vitara, I would expect around 40K or less price increase sa GL+ and 30K or less price increase sa GLX.

Inquired sa few SAs, sabi on hold daw muna Vitara.

Wtf. Hirap kase makahanap ng alternative sa GLX at its price point with those features.

Thinking of the Civic but I really need the extra ground clearance.
